To clear cache on a Samsung TV, open Settings, All Settings, Support, Device Care, Manage Storage, pick the app, select View Details, then Clear Cache.
Press Home, open Apps, choose App Settings (or hold Select on the app), then Delete twice. Built-in apps, often Netflix, can be hidden but not deleted.
Go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Factory data reset (Reset on many 2022 to 2024 TVs) and enter your PIN. Forgot it? Reset it to 0000.
To restart a Samsung TV, hold the remote's Power button until the Samsung logo appears, about 5 seconds. A quick press won't do it. No remote? Unplug it.
Samsung TV screen black? Press Home first. A menu means the TV is on, so check the source and HDMI cable, then run Picture Test. No menu points to power.
Fix Samsung TV buffering by testing speed on the TV, comparing it with the service's figure, then fixing Wi-Fi, router traffic or the one app that pauses.
Unplug a Samsung TV with a flashing red light for 30 seconds, then try a working wall outlet. Learn what each light state means and when to seek service.
A lagging Samsung TV is often low on memory. Hold Power to restart it, run Device Care, clear the slow app's cache, update, and use Game Mode for games.
Unplug the TV, press its power button and wait a minute. Then use Netflix's Get Help menu to check your network, reload Netflix, or sign out and back in.
If your Samsung TV won't turn on, check the red standby light, test the remote and the TV's own button, then the outlet, and know when to call Samsung.
Hold your Samsung remote's volume button for 2 seconds or more, select Voice Guide and switch it off. Scene narration and Bixby have their own switches.
Press the Controller button under your Samsung TV's bottom edge near the red standby light or behind the lower right corner, or use SmartThings if set up.
Samsung TV too dark? Turn off Brightness Optimization and Energy Saving Solution, raise Brightness, then run Picture Test if one half or a band stays dark.
