Turn off Battery Saver on Android and Pixel
On Android devices displaying Google’s battery menu, open Settings > Battery > Battery Saver, then tap Turn off now. If these labels do not match your device, follow your manufacturer’s steps below.
On a Pixel phone, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the active Battery Saver tile. On a Pixel Tablet, open Settings > Battery > Battery Saver and turn off Use Battery Saver. The tablet switch disables whichever saver you selected, Standard or Extreme.
You can also swipe down on a Pixel Tablet and tap the active Battery Saver tile. If the tile is missing, tap Edit, drag Battery Saver into the active tiles, then tap Back. Tap Battery Saver to turn it off.
Switch off Power saving on Samsung Galaxy
On Galaxy phones and tablets using Samsung’s current quick settings layout, swipe down from the top right of the screen. Tap the illuminated Power saving icon to turn it off. On Canadian Galaxy models with the corresponding battery menu, you can also open Settings > Battery > Power saving and turn off Power saving; regional layouts can differ.
If your Galaxy displays the restricted Maximum power saving Home screen, tap More options at the top right. Tap Turn off Power saving to leave that mode.
On compatible Galaxy phones offering performance profiles, open Settings > Device care > Performance profile. Select Standard to leave the Light profile. This setting is separate from the main Power saving switch.
Use your Android manufacturer’s controls
On Motorola phones with a Battery saver tile, open quick settings and tap the active tile. Connecting the phone to a charger also turns the saver off while charging, but it can turn back on when you unplug it.
On a POCO F6 with the corresponding battery interface, open Settings > Battery > Current mode and select Balanced. Alternatively, open Security, select the Battery icon, then choose Current mode > Balanced. You can also swipe down from the right of the screen to open Control center and tap the active Battery icon. These paths apply specifically to the POCO F6.
On Xperia 1 VII models XQ-FS54 and XQ-FS72, open Settings > Battery > STAMINA mode. Turn off Use STAMINA mode.
On OPPO phones displaying the ColorOS saver menu, open Settings > Battery > Power saving mode and turn off Power saving mode. On HUAWEI phones and tablets displaying the setting, open Settings > Battery and disable Power saving mode.
On realme UI 7.0, open Settings > Battery > Power saving settings and turn off Power saving mode. On realme UI 2.0 through 6.0, open Settings > Battery > Power saving mode and turn it off. On R, T, S, Go, and U editions, open Settings > Battery > Power saver and disable it. If your compatible realme phone displays the restricted Super power saving mode screen, tap the exit icon in the upper left corner.
Disable Low Power Mode on iPhone and iPad
On iPhone 15 and later using the current interface, open Settings > Battery > Power Mode, then turn off Low Power Mode. On iPhone 14 and earlier, open Settings > Battery and turn off Low Power Mode. On a compatible iPad, open Settings > Battery and turn off Low Power Mode there.
If you have added the control on your iPhone or iPad, open Control Center and tap the active Low Power Mode control. Charging a supported iPhone or iPad to 80% or higher also turns it off automatically. Use the Settings switch when you want to exit immediately.
Return Windows to Balanced power mode
On Windows 11 24H2 and later, select the Battery icon in the notification area, then select the active Energy saver quick setting. You can also press Windows + A to open Quick Settings, then select the active Energy saver control. The shortcut opens the panel; you still need to select the control.
To disable the always-on setting on Windows 11 24H2 and later, open Start > Settings > System > Power & battery > Energy saver. Set Always use energy saver to Off.
After disabling the saver, on Windows 11 PCs offering power modes, open Start > Settings > System > Power & battery. Under Power mode, choose Balanced for On Battery and, if desired, Plugged in. This setting is separate from Energy saver.
If a custom power plan prevents you from changing Power mode, open Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options on a Windows PC exposing power plans. Select Balanced to leave the custom plan or the Power saver plan.
Connecting a battery-powered Windows PC to power can end a manually enabled saver session that lasts until the next charge. An always-on or plugged-in Energy saver configuration can keep it active, so check the switch if plugging in does not end the session.
Restore Automatic energy mode on a Mac
On compatible Macs running macOS Ventura or later and offering energy modes, open the Apple menu > System Settings > Battery, or Energy on desktops. Under Energy Mode, choose Automatic for On battery and On power adapter as applicable. Change both selections if you want that mode under both power conditions.
On compatible Macs running macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later, you can also open Control Center and use Energy Modes to select Automatic. If your supported Mac desktop instead displays a Low Power Mode switch, open the Apple menu > System Settings > Energy and turn it off.
Change Chromebook and Linux power settings
On a Chromebook with Battery Saver, click the battery icon at the bottom right. Open Settings > System preferences > Power, then turn off Battery Saver. If the notification reporting automatic activation is displayed, you can instead click Turn off in that notification.
Connecting your Chromebook to its charger also turns Battery Saver off automatically. Google says the feature is unavailable while charging, so use the Settings switch if you want to disable it without connecting power.
On GNOME desktops and compatible Ubuntu installations offering power profiles, open Activities and search for Power. Open Power, then select Balanced under Power Mode. Hardware and distribution support can vary.
On current GNOME desktops with power controls in quick settings, open the system menu. Open the arrow beside Power Mode and select Balanced. The main Power Mode button can also switch from Power Save back to your previous setting.
Turn off a separate browser saver
Desktop browsers can have saver controls separate from your device’s power mode. In Chrome on battery-equipped Windows, Mac, and Chromebook devices, open More > Settings > Performance and turn off Energy Saver. For a temporary override while it is active, select Energy Saver beside the address bar, then select Turn off now. That override applies to the current session.
In desktop Edge on Windows, macOS, and Linux, open Settings and more > Settings > System and performance > Performance. Set Enable energy saver to Off. Microsoft previously called this browser feature efficiency mode.
In desktop Brave displaying the control, open Menu > Settings > System > Power. Turn off Energy Saver.
In desktop Opera with the saver feature, open Settings > Advanced > Features > Battery saver. Turn off Enable battery saver. Opera also provides the shorter path Settings > Features > Battery saver.
Stop battery saver from turning back on
On Pixel phones and Pixel Tablets displaying schedule controls, open Settings > Battery > Battery Saver > Schedule and reminders. Turn off Turn on based on battery level, then disable the active saver separately. On other Android devices displaying Google’s alternate menu, open Settings > Battery > Battery Saver > Set a schedule and choose No schedule. Turn off the currently active saver there as well.
On Motorola models offering automatic triggers, touch and hold Battery saver in quick settings, then open Schedule and reminders. Turn off Set default battery level and, if enabled, Reduce battery drain when inactive. Disable the active saver separately.
If a Galaxy mode or routine changes your power settings, open Settings > Modes and Routines. Under Modes, select the running mode and tap Turn off. For a running routine, open its Running section and tap Stop. Then check that Power saving is off.
To disable Adaptive Power on a supported iPhone, open Settings > Battery > Power Mode and turn off Adaptive Power. Separately turn off Low Power Mode if it is already active. Apple lists support on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the iPhone 16 family including 16e, iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.
