To remove a payment method from DoorDash, open your payment settings and swipe the saved method left in the app, or click its trash icon on the desktop website. Removing it takes it out of your saved payment methods. When replacing a card, add the replacement first. DoorDash has several menu layouts, so follow the path that matches your screen.

Sign in only through DoorDash’s own app or website, and never share a code, password, or remote access with someone who contacts you. Removing a saved card, disconnecting a wallet authorization and unlinking a rewards card are separate actions.

Add a replacement card first

If you are replacing a card, add the replacement before removing the existing one. In the Payment Cards layout and the browser’s Account > Payment layout, DoorDash’s replacement steps also call for making the new card your default first. Complete that change before removing the old card.

Remove a payment method in the app

On iPhone, open DoorDash and tap the account icon in the top-right corner. Tap Payment, then locate the unwanted method under Saved Payment Methods. Removing it takes it out of that saved list. Swipe the method left until it disappears.

On Android, open DoorDash and tap the account icon. Tap Payment Methods, then find the unwanted method under Saved Payment Methods. Removing it takes it out of that saved list. Swipe the method left until it disappears.

If your mobile app shows the card layout, tap Account > Payment Cards instead. Removing a saved card takes it out of your saved payment methods. Swipe the unwanted card left to remove it.

Remove a card on the DoorDash website

Sign in to the DoorDash website on your desktop. Click the menu icon with three stacked lines in the top-left corner, then click Payment. Find the unwanted method under Saved Payment Methods.

Removing the method takes it out of your saved payment methods. Click the trash icon beside the method you want to remove.

If your browser layout shows Account at the bottom left, click it, then click Payment. When replacing a card in this layout, add the replacement and select it as your default first. Removing the old card takes it out of your saved payment methods. Click the X beside that card.

For the website’s Payment Cards layout, open the top-left three-line menu, click Account, and scroll to Payment Cards. When replacing a card, add the replacement and make it your default first. Removing the old card takes it out of your saved payment methods. Click the X beside it.

Remove a business payment card

If you administer a DoorDash for Business account, use the desktop website to manage company cards. Sign in to the company account and open the top-left three-line menu. Choose Benefits > Go to Admin Portal > Payment Methods.

For a replacement, first click Add New Card > Credit Card, enter the card details, and click Save Card. Open the replacement card’s three-dot menu and select Set Default. Deleting the old card removes it from the company’s saved payment methods. Open that card’s three-dot menu and click Delete.

DoorDash also describes card removal from Payment Details at checkout in its business payment help. If that checkout control appears, locate the unwanted card under Payment Details. Removing it deletes the saved card. Click the trashcan icon beside it.

Disconnect a Venmo or PayPal connection

Use the wallet’s controls when DoorDash appears as a connected business or has an existing billing agreement. These steps remove that wallet authorization, which is separate from deleting a card saved directly in DoorDash.

In Venmo, open Me, then open Settings > Connected Businesses. Select DoorDash if it is listed. Discontinuing payments removes DoorDash’s Venmo payment authorization. Tap Discontinue payments.

In the US PayPal app, tap Menu, then tap Subscriptions or Linked Businesses, matching your menu. Select DoorDash if listed, then tap Account. Unlinking removes the PayPal authorization for that connection. Tap Unlink, then confirm with Unlink.

On the US PayPal website, sign in and open Settings > Payments. Select Subscriptions and saved businesses or Automatic Payments, then select DoorDash if listed. Canceling the authorization removes that saved payment permission. Follow the cancellation controls on that page to cancel DoorDash’s automatic-payment authorization.

Manage rewards cards and backup payments

If you are a DashPass member with a Visa or Mastercard linked for In Store Rewards, open DoorDash and tap In Store Rewards at the top of the home page. Unlinking removes that rewards-card connection, which may be separate from your saved checkout payment method. DoorDash says you can manage or unlink these cards in the app. If you cannot locate the unlink control, use DoorDash’s official help for assistance.

If your account has the backup-payment feature, open DoorDash’s payment settings and disable the feature. This stops automatic fallback to another payment method while leaving your saved methods in the account. If you cannot locate the control, use DoorDash’s official help for assistance.

Close your account if you want to leave DoorDash

Account deletion closes your entire DoorDash account rather than removing only one payment method. Pending deliveries prevent account deletion, so wait until those deliveries are complete before proceeding.

From the home page, open Account Settings. Click Manage Account at the top right of the profile box, then select Delete Account. Complete identity verification and follow the subsequent deletion prompts.

Fix a payment removal problem

If your menu names differ, use the matching alternate layout above. When replacing a card, add the replacement first and make it the default where that workflow calls for it. If removal still fails, open DoorDash’s payment removal help for the company’s instructions and support options.

For company billing changes you cannot complete, contact your DoorDash representative or DoorDash for Business support. For a Venmo or PayPal connection you cannot disconnect, use that wallet’s official help through its own app or website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will pending DoorDash transactions stop after you disconnect Venmo?

Pending transactions still process after you discontinue payments for DoorDash in Venmo. Disconnecting the business does not stop those pending payments.

How do you remove a Venmo Debit Card saved directly in DoorDash?

Remove it through DoorDash’s saved payment settings using the steps for your layout. A directly saved Venmo Debit Card requires card removal in DoorDash, even if you disconnect the wallet authorization in Venmo.

Does unlinking PayPal cancel DashPass?

Unlinking PayPal does not itself cancel the underlying subscription. Handle your DashPass cancellation separately through DoorDash.

Does deleting your DoorDash account erase every payment record?

Account deletion does not guarantee that every payment record is erased. DoorDash applies exceptions to personal-data deletion, so some records may be retained.
