To fix Ubisoft account creation not working, use a permanent email address, correct rejected registration details, and retry through Ubisoft’s desktop account website or Ubisoft Connect PC. If signup still fails, match the next fix to the error: service availability, browser trouble, required account checks, or a PC client connection problem.

Sign in only through Ubisoft’s own app or website, and never share a code, password, or remote access with someone who contacts you. If registration fails across supported signup options, send the exact error to Ubisoft’s account support team.

The short version

  • Check your details: Use a permanent email address you can access and follow the registration form’s requirements.
  • Try another route: Switch between Ubisoft’s desktop account website and Ubisoft Connect PC when one signup surface fails.
  • Check your browser: Try another browser, then investigate cookies, extensions, and stored website data.
  • Finish required checks: Complete email validation, parental consent, or regional age verification when requested.
  • Escalate persistent failures: Send Ubisoft the exact error and the troubleshooting you have completed.

Check service availability and try another signup route

Check Ubisoft Help for maintenance or service-degradation notices before changing settings. If an incident affects accounts, websites, or Ubisoft Connect, retry after Ubisoft reports recovery.

When one registration surface fails, open the Ubisoft account website in a desktop browser and select Create an Account. Alternatively, open Ubisoft Connect PC’s login screen and select Create an Account. Enter valid details, complete policy acceptance, and validate your email when prompted.

If you need the Windows client, obtain the current installer from Ubisoft’s official Ubisoft Connect product page. Follow Ubisoft’s installation instructions, then start registration from the client’s login screen.

Correct your email and registration details

Start signup again with a permanent email address whose inbox you can access. Ubisoft excludes disposable email addresses and multiple alias email addresses. Complete email validation when prompted.

Enter accurate registration information and follow the password and username requirements displayed by the form. If your chosen username is already associated with another account, choose a different one. Avoid usernames containing Ubi or Ubisoft, impersonation, or prohibited content.

Check the age threshold for your country before switching devices. Registration through a console, Ubisoft Connect PC, or the Account Management website is available from age seven, with the child-account process required below the local privacy age of consent. Mobile-device registration requires that privacy age of consent.

For an eligible younger child blocked on mobile, switch to the supported desktop website, Ubisoft Connect PC, or a supported console signup route. Enter the child’s accurate birth date and complete the required parental-consent process.

When the child-account flow requests it, provide the parent’s or guardian’s email address. If you are the parent or guardian, open the invitation and select Create your child's Ubisoft account, sign into your own Ubisoft account, and enter the child’s birth date and email. Ubisoft requires parental consent before creating the account.

Complete any age-verification stage requested within Ubisoft’s registration flow. The available methods and controls depend on your country and account flow, including some parent-account flows.

Check your inbox along with spam, junk, and promotional folders for the required Ubisoft message. This applies to both account verification and parental-consent emails. If you cannot access the mailbox itself, recover it through your email provider.

Use your email provider’s controls to allow messages from [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]. The exact allowlisting menus depend on the provider. Complete the requested email step once you have the message.

Test your browser and signup permissions

Open the registration website in another browser or on another device, then retry. Refresh the signup page after each troubleshooting change. If you switch to a phone or tablet, Ubisoft’s mobile registration age requirements still apply.

Try a private session to investigate browser-related trouble. In Chrome on Windows or Linux, press Ctrl + Shift + N, then open Ubisoft signup in the new window. In Safari on Mac, choose File > New Private Window, or press Shift + Command + N.

Chrome still blocks third-party cookies by default in Incognito. If the address bar displays Third-party cookies blocked, select it, turn on Third-party cookies, then select Close to reload. In Incognito, that permission lasts for the session.

For a persistent Chrome site exception, open More > Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies. Under Sites allowed to use third-party cookies, select Add, enter the signup site’s address, and select Add again. Retry registration after changing the permission. If your managed browser prevents changes, try another supported registration surface.

Ad blockers, script blockers, and pop-up blockers can interfere with signup. In Chrome, open More > Extensions > Manage extensions, then turn off suspected extensions temporarily. Refresh the registration page and try again.

Removing an extension uninstalls it from Chrome. If you identify an extension as the cause and prefer to uninstall it, select Remove on its card, then select Remove again.

Clear stored browser data when browser trouble persists

Use the instructions for the browser in which signup fails. These steps address a malfunctioning registration website; use the account-detail and age checks for rejected registration information.

In Chrome, this removes the selected history, cookies, and cached files; clearing cookies signs you out of affected sites, and deleting synced history can affect other devices. Open More > Delete browsing data, then choose All time. Select Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files, then select Delete data. Reopen Ubisoft signup.

On Windows or Linux, you can also press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open Chrome’s deletion controls. Follow the same selections and deletion steps above.

In Edge, clearing the selected browsing data removes history, cookies, and cached files, and synced data can be removed across devices. In Edge on Windows 11 or Windows 10, open Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data. Beside Clear browsing data now, select Choose what to clear and choose the Time range. Select Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files, then select Clear now and retry.

In Firefox, this removes cookies, site data, and temporary cached files for the selected period. Open the menu, choose History > Clear Recent History…, and set When: to Everything. Select Cookies and site data and Temporary cached files and pages, then select Clear. Reopen the registration website.

In Safari on Mac, removing the selected Ubisoft entry deletes its stored website data. Open Safari > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data. Select the affected Ubisoft website, select Remove, then select Done. Reopen signup in a normal browser window.

On an iPhone with the Apps settings layout, clearing Safari history and website data removes those stored items for the chosen timeframe. Open Settings > Apps > Safari > Clear History and Website Data, choose the timeframe, then tap Clear History. A disabled clearing control can mean that no data is stored or that Screen Time restrictions apply.

The alternative iPhone option removes all website data while retaining browsing history. Open Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data. Tap Remove All Website Data, then tap Remove Now.

Check connection problems in Ubisoft Connect PC

If registration fails because Ubisoft Connect cannot connect, check that the PC has working internet access. Ubisoft says Connect starts in offline mode when internet access is absent, which can affect login. When the internet works generally but Connect cannot reach Ubisoft, continue with its connectivity troubleshooting.

For PC connection failures, test a wired connection when possible. Power-cycle the router using its manufacturer’s instructions, then deactivate VPNs or proxies and retry. On a school, workplace, or other managed network, contact the network administrator or ISP about restrictions.

Check whether firewall or antivirus software is blocking Ubisoft Connect PC. In Windows, open Windows Security > Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall > Change settings. Use Allow another app to identify the installed Ubisoft Connect executable when needed. Administrator access may be required, and third-party antivirus controls depend on the vendor.

Repair a malfunctioning Ubisoft Connect client

Use these repairs when the PC client has a technical fault or connection problem. If the registration form rejects your details, return to the email, username, and age checks.

Resetting the caches makes Connect recreate its active cache folders; renaming them keeps the existing folders as backups. Log out if signed in and close Connect completely, including background operation. Locate C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache and C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache, using your actual installation path if customized. Rename each cache folder to cache_backup, then restart Connect to recreate the caches.

Reinstallation removes the client and its installation cache, so back up saves and preserve installed games and saves during removal. Close Connect, back up your saves, and remove the client while preserving those items. Delete the Cache folder in its installation directory; the default parent directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher. Install the current official download with administrator rights, then restart Windows.

If background software disrupts Ubisoft connectivity, use a clean boot on Windows 11 or Windows 10. This temporarily disables non-Microsoft services and selected startup items. Sign into Windows as an administrator, search for msconfig, and open System Configuration. On Services, select Hide all Microsoft services, select Disable all, then select Apply.

Under Startup, select Open Task Manager, then record and disable the enabled startup items. Close Task Manager, select OK, restart Windows, and retest Connect. Afterwards, follow Microsoft’s clean-boot restoration instructions to restore normal startup and the previously enabled items.

Recover an existing account or contact Ubisoft

If you have forgotten a previous Ubisoft registration, recover that account instead of continuing with a new signup. At Ubisoft login, select Can't log in?, then select I forgot my password. Enter the existing account’s email, complete the CAPTCHA challenge, and select Continue.

Without access to that email, select Don't have access to your email?, then select Visit Ubisoft Help and complete the Account Recovery Form. You can also open Ubisoft account recovery for the recovery options. An already-linked platform account can provide an alternative login, but recovery does not create a new account.

For persistent registration failures, open the contact page in Ubisoft Help and follow the prompts to open a support case. Describe the exact error, where you started signup, your device and browser, and the troubleshooting you have completed. Include whether the failure also happens through another supported registration surface.

Use the online form for account-related enquiries. Ubisoft says its Discord and X support channels cannot provide account-related support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you create a Ubisoft account from a Nintendo Switch game?

Yes, on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 when the Ubisoft game offers the signup menu. Link the Nintendo Account to the console, launch the game, and select Ubisoft Connect if its main menu offers it. At login, select Create an account and continue registration; successful login links the accounts. If the game does not offer that menu, use Ubisoft’s desktop account website or Ubisoft Connect PC.

How do you start Ubisoft signup from the Epic Games Launcher?

For Ubisoft games using the Epic account-linking flow, sign into Epic Games Launcher and launch the game. Select Link your account, then select Create an account in the browser window. Continue through Ubisoft registration there.

Can you check whether Private Relay affects signup in Safari?

Yes, when Safari on Mac has iCloud+ Private Relay enabled for the network, open the affected signup page and choose View > Reload and Show IP Address, then retry registration. That menu item appears only when Private Relay is enabled for the network. Apple provides this as a website compatibility check, so it does not guarantee that Ubisoft registration will succeed.

Should you launch Ubisoft Connect with administrator rights?

Ubisoft recommends launching Connect with administrative rights for client login problems. Use this option when you are troubleshooting trouble in the PC client. If the client still fails, continue through Ubisoft Help for assistance.
