To permanently delete your VSCO account, open the iOS app’s Settings and select Delete my account, or, if your account was created with email, sign in on the website and go to Account > Privacy & Data > Delete Account. Permanent deletion is irreversible, so check that you are signed into the account you want to remove. Cancel any paid membership or trial separately.
The short version
- On iOS: Open Settings > Delete my account, enter the displayed security phrase, and select Delete VSCO profile.
- Accounts created with email: In a browser, open Account > Privacy & Data > Delete Account, then enter your password and confirm.
- Phone number accounts: Replace your phone number with an accessible, unused email address before using website deletion.
- Billing: Cancel your membership or trial through the platform where you purchased it.

Cancel your membership or trial first
Use the cancellation route for the platform where you purchased your membership or trial. In the VSCO app, Support > Manage Subscription opens the purchasing platform. If you also plan to close a separate Workspace account, VSCO recommends closing Workspace before your consumer VSCO account.
For an Apple purchase, open your device’s Settings, select your name, then go to Subscriptions > VSCO > Cancel Subscription. For a Google Play purchase, open Google Play and go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > VSCO. Select Cancel subscription to complete that cancellation.
For a web purchase, open your VSCO Account and select the Subscription tab. If you are an eligible VSCO One member within your first 30 days, select Request Refund to cancel your membership immediately and have your payment refunded, or contact Support for refund help. Otherwise, including for VSCO Pro and VSCO Plus, select Manage Billing, enter your registered email address, open the emailed Stripe link, and select Log in. Confirm cancellation there, then continue with account deletion.
Delete your account in the iOS app
Open VSCO on your iPhone and select the Global Menu icon at the top left. Open Settings, then select Delete my account. Enter the security phrase displayed on the screen and select Delete VSCO profile to complete deletion.
This route also covers accounts created with Apple, Google, Snapchat, or Facebook. Check that you have opened the intended account before confirming, since permanent deletion cannot be reversed. If you cannot complete these steps, request deletion through VSCO Support.
Delete your account through the website
For an account created with email, sign in at VSCO in a desktop or mobile browser. Complete the emailed login verification, then select Account at the bottom left. Open Privacy & Data and choose Delete Account. Enter your password and confirm the deletion.
You can use this browser route on Android if your account was created with email. If you signed up with Apple, Google, Snapchat, or Facebook and only have Android access, contact VSCO Support. You can also use the iOS deletion route if you have access to it.
If your account uses a phone number, first open Profile in the VSCO app and select the pencil icon at the top right. Open My Info and replace your phone number with an email address you can access. The email address must be unused by another VSCO account.
After changing the login, sign in on the website with that email address and complete the emailed verification. Select Account at the bottom left, choose the option to delete your account on your Account page, and confirm the deletion. If you cannot change your account information, request deletion through Support.
Resolve verification and account access problems
Complete Verify Your Email or Verify Login when prompted before deleting your account. For website deletion, verify the login through the email VSCO sends you. If the email does not arrive, select Resend email and try again, then contact Support if verification still fails.
To reach Support in the iOS or Android app, open the navigation menu and select Support > Contact us. Request account deletion and supply your username plus the email address or phone number linked to the account.
Without app access, open VSCO Support and select the chatbot icon at the bottom right. Ask for account deletion and Support assistance. The chatbot starts a Support request; it does not immediately delete your account.
If you no longer have the original credentials, VSCO requires government issued identification and completion of its privacy verification form. Follow Support’s verification instructions and wait for deletion confirmation. Submitting the request alone does not mean your account has been deleted.
Submit an account deletion privacy request
You can use the VSCO data request form to request deletion of your account and personal data. Complete the Name fields, including First Name and Last Name, and enter your account email under Email Address. Under Data Request, select Delete my data (including account), then select Submit Form. Respond to any verification email.
If you are eligible under VSCO’s U.S. State Privacy Rights disclosures, you can authorize an agent to submit your deletion request through the privacy process. Supply any requested evidence of your identity and the agent’s authorization. You still need to complete any required verification before the request can proceed.
Request erasure through a privacy representative
For a request covered by GDPR, open EDPO’s GDPR data request form. Enter Name, E-mail, and Country, name VSCO as the company, and identify yourself as A customer/client/user/patient. Request erasure, complete the GDPR confirmation and anti-bot calculation, then select Submit.
For a request covered by UK GDPR, open EDPO’s UK GDPR data request form. Enter Name and E-mail, name VSCO as the company, and identify yourself as A customer/client/user/patient. Request erasure, complete the UK GDPR confirmation and anti-bot calculation, then select Submit.
You can also send a VSCO erasure request by post to EDPO, Avenue Huart Hamoir 71, 1030 Brussels, Belgium. For the UK representative, write to EDPO UK Ltd, Unit 33, Waterside, Schooner Court, 44-48 Wharf Road, London N1 7UX, United Kingdom. These routes let you submit applicable privacy requests rather than immediately delete an account.
Close a separate Workspace account
To close Workspace when you have permission to manage its subscription, sign in and open Settings > Manage Subscription > Close Account. Closure immediately removes access and schedules the Workspace account for automatic deletion. Your Workspace account is separate from your consumer VSCO account.
For help deleting Workspace, open its home screen and select Support at the top. Request Workspace account deletion through Support. You can also email [email protected] with the subject Privacy Request and specify that your deletion request concerns Workspace.
If a studio or another business using Workspace stores your personal information, contact that business or its Workspace administrator directly to request erasure. The administrator must instruct Workspace or use its privacy tools to handle the request. This process does not delete your consumer VSCO login.
If you administer Workspace and only need to remove someone’s access, open Settings > Add/Change Users. Select edit beside the user, then select Delete. This removes Workspace access while leaving that person’s VSCO account intact.
Deactivate instead for a temporary break
For a reversible option, sign in and open https://vsco.co/user/deactivate in your browser. Choose profile only deactivation to hide your published content while retaining your account and editing access. Follow the prompts to finish.
Choose full account deactivation instead if you want to disable account and profile access temporarily, then complete the prompts. Sign back in to reactivate the account. Deactivation does not permanently delete your account; use the app or website deletion controls for permanent removal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does uninstalling VSCO delete your account or stop charges?
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or cancel billing. You still need to complete account deletion and cancel any membership or trial separately.
Can you get live chat help with deletion?
If you have a Pro membership, you can live chat with the VSCO Support Team Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm PST. Other requests become email requests.
Can you request a refund when canceling VSCO One?
If you are an eligible VSCO One member within your first 30 days, you can select Request Refund through the web billing route. The refund request concerns your membership payment and is separate from account deletion.
Will a privacy request erase every piece of your data?
Legal retention exceptions can limit which data VSCO deletes in response to your request. VSCO processes privacy requests under applicable law, so account deletion does not guarantee that every retained record is erased.
