Oura and MD Live are partnering on a GLP-1 program that will combine an Oura Ring supplied through a health plan sponsor with medication tracking and access to clinical care. The partnership is scheduled to begin in early 2027, initially serving eligible members of select employer health plans that offer MD Live Virtual Primary Care. Oura expects the initial group to include both people already using GLP-1 medications and people receiving a new prescription.

Members will be able to record symptoms, medication doses and weight, then view those entries alongside measurements from Oura, including heart rate and sleep. Meal records and side effect tracking will also be available, together with insights into activity, readiness and recovery. The program will include access to Oura Advisor for education and support that takes GLP-1 use into account.

Eligible participants will decide whether to share information from their GLP-1 Insight experience with an MD Live clinician. Oura says that sharing could help clinicians see patterns in symptoms and whether members are keeping to their medication doses between appointments. Treatment decisions will remain with the treating provider, while Oura's tools serve as a way to record experiences and inform discussions.

The employer plan offering has a narrower initial audience than Oura's existing GLP-1 Insights feature, which the company says has attracted nearly 260,000 U.S. members since its summer launch. Oura says 80% of GLP-1 Insights users continue recording doses after three months. It also reports that one in three engages with Oura Advisor each week.

Among GLP-1 Insights members, one in four uses Tags, according to Oura. The company says those members use Tags for appetite, mood or side effect records at three times the rate of its average member. The planned program will pair Oura's tracking capabilities with a dedicated MD Live care team.

Earlier this month, Oura began expanding Health Radar and GLP-1 Insights into more than 30 additional markets, including Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. That rollout supported Android and iOS and required an Oura Ring Gen3 or a newer model.
