Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is headed to NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW at launch, with GeForce RTX 5080-class performance giving Ultimate members access to ray tracing in the campaign. The game is scheduled for release Friday, October 23, through the Call of Duty app, although NVIDIA cautions that cloud availability can vary as games are added after their store releases. Players will get a campaign, multiplayer and the returning DMZ extraction mode.
Ultimate members can use the campaign’s ray-tracing features across supported devices, including Macs, PCs, mobile devices and TVs. GeForce NOW takes care of game installation and downloads remotely. Membership provides streaming access to supported games players own or buy from participating digital stores, so the cloud subscription and game purchase are separate considerations.

Existing users of supported Fire TV Stick devices are also getting an option to buy one-month Performance or Ultimate memberships through Amazon. The purchasing feature is rolling out within the GeForce NOW app and uses an existing Amazon account for billing. NVIDIA also offers a day pass for testing premium streaming, with its cost creditable toward a first monthly membership.
The campaign follows Private Park, a South Korean soldier whose routine patrol becomes a struggle to survive, while Captain Price pursues revenge outside his former chain of command. Missions include fighting in Korea and covert operations in Mumbai. Multiplayer offers 12 core 6v6 maps, while DMZ tasks players with retrieving technology from contested areas and choosing when to extract.
Earlier plans put Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 23. Its Switch 2 open beta was scheduled for August 28 through September 1 without requiring a pre-order.
NVIDIA’s six-game cloud lineup this week also includes Square Enix’s FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, scheduled to launch on GeForce NOW today. Its battles let players exploit weaknesses to stagger opponents and gain additional turns. Planet Zoo 2 is joining through the Xbox app with XBOX Play Anywhere support.
The Elder Scrolls Online also has new content available to stream following the October 21 launch of Echoes of Skyrim. Owners of ESO Standard Edition gain the Greymoor Chapter and Antiquities treasure hunting, with the Markarth downloadable content following November 9. The season also adapts Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices for solo players.
