Snapchat has passed 30 million subscribers across four subscription offerings that charge for features ranging from AI image creation to additional storage for saved Memories, Snap said this week. The combined figure covers Snapchat+, Lens+, Platinum and Memories Storage Plans, putting subscriptions for creative tools and storage alongside the app’s broader feature subscription. The total spans all four offerings rather than Snapchat+ alone, although Snap identifies Snapchat+ as the biggest contributor to growth in subscribers.

Snapchat+ offers subscribers features that are exclusive, experimental or accessible early, with options to pay monthly or annually and a separate family plan. Its features focus on customizing the app, adding to the experience of using existing features and letting paying users try additions ahead of other Snapchat users. Snap traces the start of its subscription business to Snapchat+ in 2022, before the business expanded to encompass the four offerings included in the latest subscriber total.

Lens+ has grown nearly 600% since January 2026, with Snap attributing that growth to additions including AI Photoshoot and its latest bundle. Snap describes AI Photoshoot as a way for users to improve photos they already almost like, placing photo editing among the creative uses it is promoting through subscriptions. Lens+ also gives subscribers exclusive tools for AI and augmented reality creation, including generative AI Lenses and access to Imagine Lens without usage limits.

Imagine Lens creates images from written prompts, giving Lens+ subscribers another way to make images they can share through the app. Platinum combines viewing without ads for content from friends and creators with cloud storage for Memories, with a storage allowance of up to 5TB. Memories Storage Plans address storage separately, offering additional capacity for users who want more room to keep saved moments and return to them later.

Snap says it has spent 2026 adding features and experiences to its subscriptions, with creation and personalization among the areas receiving investment. The company presents subscriptions as part of its direct revenue business, connecting that business to paid options for saving Memories and using AI creatively. Snap says its future investment will continue to include preserving Memories, exploring creative uses of AI and giving users more ways to personalize Snapchat.
