Mistral is expanding Mistral Studio today with managed agents and apps that businesses can connect to internal information and systems, alongside additions for workflows, enterprise context, agent observability and evaluations. The platform supports deployments in the cloud, a business’s own VPC, on premises or in a mix of those environments. Developers can set limits on the tools, information and actions their agents can use while Studio runs the underlying infrastructure.
The expansion accompanies Mistral Large 4 (Le Chonk), which Mistral says improves coding, defensive cybersecurity and reasoning through complicated documents and business problems. Studio connects models to business resources using connectors and MCP servers. With the new Mistral MCP server, developers can work in Mistral Vibe or an existing coding agent, try their work locally and send it to Studio using a single deployment command.
Managed agents can tackle tasks with multiple stages, use skills containing team procedures, execute code in sandboxes and pass portions of their work to subagents. Developers can also insert custom logic through hooks at selected execution points. While agents investigate and take action, workflows coordinate prescribed steps, agent reasoning and decisions that require a person.
Workflows can now respond to events from business systems, and developers get a graph for examining how a process operates. A stopped workflow can continue from its interruption point, while Mistral Vibe can generate, test and deploy workflow code that teams can review and change. Mistral says an internal workflow that classifies customer feedback and employee ideas, then routes them to teams, saves its product operations staff about 35 hours each week.
For applications, Studio supplies hosting, authentication and controls governing access, with reusable components approved in advance to reduce code requiring security review. Apps can call agents and workflows, search indexed business documents and use context shared through Studio. Developers can publish an app at a dedicated link or make it accessible within Mistral Vibe.
Mistral says its engineers also built an incident investigation agent that follows a runbook, seeks permission for sensitive actions and sends findings to Slack, saving hundreds of hours monthly. ABANCA, BNP Paribas and CMA CGM are among the organizations already running Studio in production.
