PS5 console covers and DualSense wireless controllers are getting three transparent finishes in the Prism Collection, which begins launching February 4, 2027. Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray are the color options. US recommended prices are $84.99 per controller and $74.99 for matching covers.
US preorders directly through PlayStation open November 10, 2026, at 10:00am ET / 7:00am PT / 3:00pm GMT. Participating retailers are also part of the preorder rollout on November 10, 2026. The controllers will be sold globally.
The covers will be exclusive to PlayStation's direct sales channel in regions where it operates. Select retailers in other regions will receive limited quantities. Direct ordering covers the US, UK, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
Sony also lists recommended controller prices of €84.99, £74.99 and ¥12,480. For console covers, those prices are €74.99, £64.99 and ¥9,980. Both yen prices include tax. Store prices and stock may differ, and launch dates can vary by country or region.
In PlayStation's announcement, the design team describes a glossy transparent finish continuing around the controller's back, revealing its internal technology. The middle cover uses a metallic finish to contrast with the clear surfaces. Orange develops a rosy tint where transparent material overlaps; the green is described as hunter green, and gray as a cool storm shade. Designer Leo Cardoso says the transparent styling revisits a trend from the late '90s, updated to complement the industrial design of PS5.
