Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Big retailers do not wait for either day, and several have already started. Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Costco and Newegg have published dates, while Amazon has not yet said when its main deals begin.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, the fourth Thursday of November, so it always lands between November 23 and November 29. This year it falls exactly four weeks before Christmas.

Walmart's online events start at 12:01 a.m. Eastern. Its early and Black Friday events both open in stores at 6 a.m. local time on their in-store start days.
What happened last year
For comparison, here is the timing at two retailers in 2025. Dates can change from year to year.
- Amazon ran its Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals back to back in 2025, from November 20 through December 1, starting at 12:01 a.m. Pacific.
- Target ran a three-day Early Black Friday Sale from November 6 to 8, 2025.
When Cyber Monday deals start
Cyber Monday 2026 is November 30, but some retailers run their sales longer. Walmart's event runs through December 2, and Best Buy follows its Cyber Sunday and Monday sale with Cyber Week deals through December 6.
Do you need a membership
Walmart+ members get first access to Walmart's hot deal drops. Any items still available open to everyone 24 hours later, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern on November 13 and November 24. At Best Buy, My Best Buy Plus and Total members earn double rewards from November 19 to December 6. You need a Costco membership to shop in its warehouses. At Amazon, some individual deals are limited to Prime members, and the listing says so.
What to do if a price drops after you buy
Buying early is less risky at stores with a holiday price match, as long as the item qualifies and you stay within its dates. Target's Holiday Price Match Guarantee covers purchases from November 1 if Target's own price drops by December 24. Best Buy's holiday guarantee covers most products bought from October 30 to December 31 if Best Buy's price drops by January 15, 2027. Both guarantees cover the store's own later price, so check the terms before you rely on either. Newegg's Black Friday Price Protection covers badged items bought from November 1 to 18 if Newegg's price drops by November 28.
How to tell a real deal
A big percentage off a list price does not always mean a low price. Compare the same model at a few stores before you buy, and check the storage size or configuration, since a sale price can apply to one specific version.
