Apple Creator Studio will add MotionVFX tools inside Final Cut Pro for Mac and beta AI assistants for music and document work in November, with updates free for existing subscribers. Pixelmator Pro will also gain Generate Fill, letting users describe changes they want to make to a selected image area.

New U.S. subscribers pay $12.99 monthly or $129 annually, with a free trial lasting one month. College students and educators can subscribe for $2.99 monthly or $29.99 annually, while buyers of a new Mac or eligible iPad can receive three months free. Freeform’s image editing connection to Pixelmator Pro and its ability to turn text descriptions into editable shapes are scheduled separately for December.

The MotionVFX integration brings thousands of elements to Final Cut Pro for Mac, including titles and templates, plus tracking and rotoscoping tools. Editors will be able to send timeline images to Pixelmator Pro and have saved changes return automatically to their projects. Final Cut Pro also gains 23 additional transcription languages and access to stock footage through the Content Hub.

Logic Pro for Mac gets a beta assistant using models from Apple and OpenAI, which Apple says can help start songs, configure vocal tracks from prompts and adjust ongoing projects. Its redesigned Browser uses on-device audio analysis to categorize imported sounds and find audio matching a dragged-in loop. Stem Splitter adds separation of drum parts so users can replace or adjust them without the original multitrack recordings.

Apple says Generate Fill will match surrounding texture, perspective and lighting, with Super Resolution increasing the resolution of generated material. Users can keep those additions on separate layers with masks for further editing, or merge them into existing layers.

Beta assistants in Keynote, Pages and Numbers will use document context to help with slides, writing and spreadsheets, drawing on Apple models and OpenAI. Model Context Protocol support will let external AI tools read and modify content and carry out automated tasks in those apps. Keynote also gains Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx), a JSON-based format intended for external tools and developer workflows.

The additions follow September’s Apple Creator Studio update, which introduced Cinematic mode editing for iPhone 18 Pro footage in Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac. That earlier update also brought Select and Mask to Pixelmator Pro on iPad, extending a tool previously offered on Mac.
