Razer has announced the Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, a 60% analog optical gaming keyboard that brings true 8000 Hz HyperPolling to the Huntsman V3 Pro line. The company calls it the most advanced analog optical keyboard in the 60% form factor. Razer's announcement did not include a price, a release date, or the regions where the board will be sold.

The headline number is polling: 8000 Hz, which Razer says is eight times faster than the 1000 Hz industry standard. The company claims an average latency of 0.48 ms, which it says is 26% faster than the nearest competitor's 0.65 ms. Buyers who care about feel get an adjustable actuation range of 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm and a rated switch lifespan of 100 million keystrokes.

The board ships with the full Advanced Input Control suite, a set of software features Razer has been rolling out across its recent keyboards. That suite includes Snap Flex, Snap Tap, Dynamic Keystroke, and Dual-Keypress Priority. The switches are factory calibrated, which Razer says makes them roughly 2.5 times more accurate than the closest competitor, and each one is individually lubricated and seated in a thick foam dampening layer.

Build quality gets attention too. The top case is made from 5052 aluminum alloy with a brushed metal texture that Razer says resists warping, and the keycaps are textured doubleshot PBT, which the company describes as shine-resistant and fade-proof. The compact layout is pitched at players who want more room for mouse movement and an easier board to carry.

Several conveniences stand out. The dual-purpose modifier keys double as 4-way arrow keys when tapped. Actuation height and Rapid Trigger sensitivity can be tuned on the fly from the number row. Up to six custom profiles can be stored onboard, so settings travel between PCs, LANs, and tournaments without software. Razer also points to Synapse Web, a browser-based control panel that needs no install.

The Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz builds on the Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 platform, along with Rapid Trigger and adjustable actuation, that Razer has used across the Huntsman V3 Pro family. The announcement follows several other Razer keyboard reveals from the past few weeks, including the Huntsman V3 Pro Tenkeyless 8KHz Sentinels Edition made with the esports organization Sentinels and the Huntsman V3 Pro Low-profile Tenkeyless 8KHz.

Razer has made a habit of announcing products without pricing or availability. The Kiyo V2 Pro webcam, which shoots 4K at 60 FPS, arrived the same way, as did the Tartarus V2 Pro keypad with analog switches and 8000 Hz polling and the Reclusa X Mini 65% keyboard with hot-swap switches.
