Google is rolling out Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash today, extending generated videos to up to 15 seconds and cutting the 720p price to $0.07 per second. The model is becoming generally available through the Gemini API and Gemini for business, with Google putting the price reduction against Gemini Omni 1.1 at 30%.
The maximum clip length rises from 10 seconds with Omni 1.1, and users can choose a duration between three and 15 seconds in steps of one second. Native generation and editing both support that longer limit, while conversational editing lets users request successive changes through follow-up prompts.

Users can make initial versions at either 360p or 720p, then upscale selected results to 1080p or 4K. Google says changing an individual detail through an edit, instead of generating the whole video again, can also reduce workflow costs.
For reference material, users can combine images showing a character, product or visual style with audio cues and motion clips lasting up to three seconds. Google says the model follows those references more closely, preserving details such as faces and clothing as camera angles change. It also claims consistency for packaging text and brand colors, with suggested uses including virtual try-on videos, rotating catalog views and advertisements.
The 4K upscaling option follows an earlier Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash update in Google Vids that added 1080p upscaling, control over duration and improvements to video extensions. Google Vids also previously adopted Gemini 3.8 Flash Lite TTS for voiceovers and avatar narration, with Google claiming improvements to speech pacing and emphasis.
