Life is Strange: Reunion delivers the final chapter for Max Caulfield and Chloe Price today, ending their decade-long narrative arc with a simultaneous launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Square Enix confirmed the adventure game serves as the conclusion to the iconic duo's story that began with 2015's original Life is Strange.

Developed by Deck Nine Games, Reunion picks up directly after 2024's Double Exposure, returning players to Caledon University where Max works as a photography teacher. For the first time in the series' history, players control both protagonists during gameplay sessions. The mechanic allows switching between Max's time-rewind abilities and Chloe's confrontational backtalk skills to solve environmental puzzles and handle restricted areas.

The narrative opens with Max discovering Caledon University engulfed in flames after a weekend away. Using her rewind power through a polaroid photograph, she travels back three days to investigate the fire's origin before it destroys campus grounds.

Chloe Price unexpectedly arrives at Caledon haunted by memories of lives she never lived, a consequence of timeline merging from Double Exposure. The pair must combine their unique abilities to prevent disaster while confronting Chloe's fractured reality.

Reunion launches as a complete package rather than following the episodic format of earlier entries in the series. The game arrives via Steam and Microsoft Store on Windows alongside console versions.

Multiple editions provide purchase options starting with a $49.99 Deluxe Edition containing digital soundtrack, art book, comic, and behind-the-scenes documentary featuring voice actors Hannah Telle (Max) and Rhianna DeVries (Chloe). A $59.99 Twin Pack bundles Reunion with Double Exposure plus collector's goods including vinyl soundtrack and exclusive artwork.

Deck Nine began development on the sequel in 2025 following Double Exposure's release. Original Chloe voice actress Ashly Burch confirmed she wasn't asked to reprise her role for Reunion but expressed appreciation for the characters upon learning about the project through public announcements.

The Pan-European Game Information board leaked initial details about Reunion in January 2026 before Square Enix officially revealed the game later that month.
