Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 is finally getting wider, if the latest leaks are accurate. And for the first time, there's a Fold 8 Ultra joining the lineup.
Case maker Thinborne listed cases for all three of Samsung's upcoming foldables on its website, revealing the final designs weeks before the company's expected July 22 Unpacked event. The listings, spotted by tipster Ice Universe, show the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 (also called the Fold 8 Wide), and Galaxy Z Flip 8 in aramid fiber cases available in black, blue, and red.
The Fold 8 Ultra and standard Fold 8 share a raised camera island on the rear, while the Flip 8 retains its horizontally aligned dual-camera setup integrated into the outer display. But the real news is the standard Fold 8's proportions.
Leaked dummy units show a noticeably wider cover display and a slightly shorter chassis, breaking from the narrow design that has defined Samsung's foldables for years. Reliable tipster Ice Universe shared a render comparing the Fold 8's cover screen to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, suggesting the difference in width is minimal.
If accurate, Samsung may finally deliver a foldable that doesn't feel like a compromise when closed. The Fold 8 Wide dummy also points to a dual-camera system with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide, according to earlier reports. The darker model shown in recent leaks could launch in a Graphite color option.
Thinborne's Fold 8 Ultra cases are listed at $89.69, while Flip 8 cases run $79.69. The standard Fold 8 case does not yet have a price. The cases for the Ultra and Flip models include integrated magnets for Qi2 MPP wireless charging.
This isn't Thinborne's first premature listing. The company posted Pixel 11 series cases back in March and listed iPhone 17 Pro Max cases before Apple's official launch.
With multiple leaks converging on the same designs and Samsung's Unpacked event roughly three weeks away, the final look of the foldable lineup appears locked in. The July 22 event is also expected to include the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9.
