Crimson Desert Enhanced gains ocean exploration, romance and additional character stories with its Charting the Unknown DLC. Released on October 29, 2026, the expansion is available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support, according to Xbox Wire.
The page lists Crimson Desert Enhanced at $69.99. Xbox players can also sample the base game through a free trial lasting five hours, beginning October 29, 2026. The Enhanced version previously brought together August's free Patch Version 2.00 and earlier updates, including additional story moments and expanded language and voice-over support.
Charting the Unknown gives Kliff, Oongka and Damiane a storyline apiece. Its ocean exploration adds underwater ruins and treasure chests to discover, alongside new creatures and mounts. Players can construct a ship of their own to travel across Pywel's Great Ocean.
The three characters can also develop relationships with inhabitants of Pywel, building trust through interaction. Those relationships can progress to romance or marriage. Housing changes let players construct a home from scratch, choosing its interior layout and where walls, windows and other structural pieces go.
Certain liberated castles can become player homes, with furnishings and decorative objects for both interiors and courtyards. Players can also lease facilities in liberated strongholds, including restaurants and smithies, and operate them. That involves assigning comrades and equipment, choosing merchandise and increasing each location's recognition.
For combat, the Garden of Trials presents a succession of bosses encountered during adventures in Pywel. It adds a challenge built around fighting those bosses consecutively.
The trial end date remains unclear. The page's summary lists January 7, 2027, while its main text gives January 6.
