Samsung Electronics took home honors at the IFA Innovation Awards 2026, announced September 4, for two of its latest home appliances. The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner won in the Best in Design category, while the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub was named an honoree in the same category.
The air conditioner features a streamlined form with a Grid Design and three Motion Wings that produce different airflow patterns. Its AI Motion Wind draws on a radar sensor that shifts airflow with a user's movements and preferences, Samsung says, while WindFree Wearable Good Sleep pairs with a compatible wearable to adapt cooling as the user sleeps.
The refrigerator comes with a 32-inch display and uses an internal camera with AI Vision to recognize food items and track use-by dates. It also offers an Auto Open Door that responds to voice commands or touch for hands-free access. A separate honoree, the Bespoke AI Refrigerator, needs only 4 mm of space at either side and 20 mm above it to slot into existing cabinetry, Samsung says, and its zero clearance hinge lets the doors swing wide even where room is tight. Samsung credits SpaceMax technology with adding interior room on that model, and says its AI Hybrid Cooling pairs a compressor with a Peltier element for better cooling efficiency. The SmartThings Food app provides recipe recommendations.

He added, "We will continue to combine AI with differentiated design and engineering to deliver greater convenience and efficiency that consumers can experience in their daily lives."
The awards come as Samsung has been pushing design-focused appliances, including expanding its flat-design washers to a 24-inch model at IFA.
