For just $168, down from its list price of $199.99, the blue WPZ2 reaches its lowest price in six months. Its 90-day average is $182.08, putting the current price $14.08 below that average. That gives the offer a useful comparison beyond the larger list-price reduction.

What You're Getting

• Waterproofing to 15m, or 49ft, for up to one hour, plus shock protection from 2m and a dustproof design. No separate housing is needed.
• A 16MP BSI CMOS sensor, 4X optical zoom, and a 27mm wide angle for photos above and below the surface.
• Full HD 1080p video for recording swims, paddles, and hikes.
• Wi-Fi for sending photos to a phone or tablet, with a remote viewfinder function for framing group shots from your phone.
• Support for microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards up to 1.5TB, using Class 10 or better cards. Charge the camera for at least four hours before first use.

Who This Is For

Swimmers, snorkelers, and kayakers get the clearest benefit from the waterproof design and lack of a separate housing requirement. Hikers heading onto dusty trails also have a reason to consider it, while Wi-Fi sharing suits anyone who wants to move their pictures to a phone for posting.

The Caveat

Water protection requires care: inspect the rubber gasket for debris or damage, then close and lock the battery cover before every swim. Never open it underwater or while wet, and rinse the camera with clean water afterward with the cover closed.

Final Verdict

Choose the WPZ2 if your next camera needs to handle water, dust, and outdoor trips without a separate housing. Amazon's $168 offer makes that specific combination easier to budget for, with optical zoom and phone sharing included.
