Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag3 offers direction and distance guidance from up to 60 meters away, giving owners a longer reach when searching for tagged keys or bags. The tracker is scheduled to reach the U.S. by early November 2026, with prices starting at $29.99 for one tag and $99.99 for four. Buyers will have a choice of White or Black.

Samsung says Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding powers Compass View, extending its finding range to roughly three times that of the preceding generation. As the owner approaches a missing item, ultra-wideband (UWB) helps refine the search. Samsung also puts battery endurance at up to 550 days with standard use, or up to 790 days with Power Saving Mode.

Galaxy SmartTag3 introduces support for both Galaxy and iOS devices, a first for the Galaxy SmartTag family. Through SmartThings Find, users on supported devices can view a tag’s location, share that location and access Search Nearby, including when someone borrows a tagged suitcase. Earlier launch coverage identified three features unavailable on iOS: Left Behind Alert, Compass View and Ring Phone.

When a tag loses its connection, Samsung says Galaxy Find Network can help locate it through more than 900 million Galaxy devices participating worldwide. Those devices can detect the tracker and relay its whereabouts. Samsung says location information now arrives sooner after disconnection, helping owners track luggage or other belongings that have become separated from them.

For pet collars, Samsung says the tracker has approximately 35% less volume and weighs 33% less than its predecessor. Its SmartTag3 pet collar ComforTag is intended mainly for dogs, while the customizable SmartTag3 Pet Collar offers another attachment option. Location History retains records for up to seven days before automatically removing older entries.

Place Notification lets owners set a boundary and receive an alert when a tagged object crosses it, though Samsung describes this as a trial feature. Movement Detection Alert depends on a disconnected tag being detected by nearby Galaxy devices whose users have enabled Offline finding, and surroundings can prevent notifications. The tracker also carries an IP67 rating for resistance to dust and water, while SmartThings IoT Control lets its programmable button activate preset routines on compatible connected devices.
