Samsung has officially addressed a red screen issue affecting some Galaxy S26 Ultra owners since launch, posting a formal notice as reported by Sammobile, in the Samsung Members app in South Korea that points to a clear calibration fix rather than a panel replacement.
After investigation, Samsung said the problem is not related to a display hardware defect. Affected units show a reddish tint in a rectangular area at the center of the screen.
Early coverage through Korean outlet News1 cited user complaints and a Samsung official who linked the behavior to the phone’s Privacy Display feature.
The company is offering complimentary screen calibration at any official Samsung service center, and that support applies regardless of whether the device’s warranty is still active. Same-day processing is available for owners who bring in an affected Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung is also preparing a software update so affected Galaxy S26 Ultra owners can apply the calibration fix without needing to visit a service center. Samsung said it will provide details on the remote update distribution schedule as soon as preparation is complete, giving users a path that avoids a store trip once the package rolls out.
The notice frames the reddish center tint as something software calibration can resolve, which keeps the response focused on service and an over-the-air fix instead of hardware swaps. Owners seeing the tint can use the free center calibration now while waiting for the remote software path Samsung says it is readying.
