Meta's smart glasses lineup now includes a pair built around listening and calls. Ray-Ban Meta Audio, which the company calls its first audio glasses, is up for pre-order today starting at $349, with shipping set for October 13. The frames come in 23 color and lens combinations across two shapes, Clubmaster and Burbank, and both accept a wide range of optical prescriptions.

The pitch is earbuds without the isolation. Meta says the glasses weigh 43 grams, its lightest and slimmest AI glasses so far, and that a charge lasts up to 12 hours of listening, calls, and hands-free assistant use, with up to another 48 hours in the included case. Adjustable temple tips, swappable nose pads, and overextension hinges are meant to keep them comfortable for all-day wear.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) is the other headliner, and it is available today starting at $449. Meta says the redesign is slimmer and more comfortable, with battery life rated at up to nine hours, an hour more than Gen 2, and a new customizable action button for reaching Meta AI. A six-microphone array is claimed to cut more than 90% of background noise on calls and voice commands.

The camera stays on Gen 3: a 12 MP sensor with 3K Ultra HD video, plus a feature that lets the wearer pick the best frame from a burst, and the built-in LED that signals to bystanders when recording is active. Meta also says its AI glasses will be the first consumer devices to capture and play back video in Dolby Atmos with 360-degree spatial sound later this year. Gen 3 spans 27 color and lens combinations in Aviator, Zena, and Wayfarer, with a limited-edition Aviator marking the frame's 90th anniversary.

Cheaper options are part of the push. A new Meta Adventurer with a black frame and grey lenses starts at $249, which Meta calls its most accessible price yet, and goes on sale October 23 in every country where Meta Glasses are sold. The limited-edition Meta Fury, a clear frame with mirrored lenses, is available only at Connect and Meta Labs at launch. A new Ivory colorway of the Kylie Jenner Starfire style starts at $399, and a LISA collection with two prescription-ready styles, Meta Adventurer LISA Edition and Meta Capri LISA Edition, also starts at $399. Meta says it will offer more than 100 glasses options across Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses by the end of the year.

Availability is widening too. Meta Glasses reach Singapore, South Korea, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates starting today, with Brazil to follow, while Oakley Meta, Ray-Ban Meta, and Ray-Ban Meta Optics are slated for 11 more markets later this year. Buyers can also mix frame, lens, and case colors through the Mix & Match program at Meta Lab stores or online.

The launch lands as Meta keeps attaching subscriptions to glasses features. In July, free Conversation Focus use on Ray-Ban Meta glasses was capped at three hours a month, with more time requiring Meta One Premium at $19.99 monthly. The new audio frames ship without any stated subscription requirement, and Meta's announcement does not say whether the AI features tied to its Muse agent will carry usage limits.
