Marvel's Wolverine is out today on PS5, the game Insomniac Games built with Marvel Games. The launch comes with a merchandise collection that reaches stores this week. Buyers can shop it through direct.playstation.com and at select retailers.

Some items are already on shelves. A graphic tee and a knit beanie are both up at direct.playstation.com, while snapback hats are stocked at Target. The micro mini fridges are the widest-reaching piece so far, available now at direct.playstation.com and Target. More of the collection is live at direct.playstation.com right now.

Walmart gets a staggered rollout. The graphic tee and the knit beanie are listed as coming soon there, along with a throw blanket and other items that have not been detailed yet. GameStop will carry the micro mini fridges at a later point. Beyond the apparel and fridges, the line takes in a hanging canvas banner, a ceramic bowl, and a 32oz stainless steel water bottle.

Sony has not attached prices to any of the merchandise, and the only timing given is that the collection arrives this week. The items are licensed by Sony Interactive Entertainment or its affiliates, with the company disclaiming responsibility for how third parties make, sell, or use them. Links out to retail partners also leave the PlayStation ecosystem, where the PlayStation Privacy Policy stops applying.

The release follows a run of Wolverine news from PlayStation. Earlier this month the studio's creative leads, among them creative director Marcus Smith and game director Mike Daly, talked about how they approached the character ahead of the September 15 date. An episode of the Official PlayStation Podcast listed the game among the following week's releases, with Liam McIntyre named as the voice of Logan.

Wolverine arrives as the disc question still hangs over PlayStation's first-party output. The game ships with a physical disc in the box, something that looks likely to become rare among the platform's major releases. Sony has said it will stop making discs for new games in January 2028, with future titles going digital-only and download codes taking the place of a pressed copy. Existing disc libraries keep working, and the policy sits with Sony rather than Insomniac.

That decision has drawn sustained pushback. A Change.org petition cleared 172,000 signatures in roughly six days, and a Dutch consumer group filed suit on behalf of about 1.7 million users. A firmware update in March 2026 added a 30-day server check-in for new digital games. The Wolverine trailer pulled more than 1 million views and close to 5,000 comments, with the top one, from a user called ErrantRob, passing 10,000 likes in a day.

What the announcement does not say is what any of it costs, or when the Walmart and GameStop listings will actually go live.
