Google is expanding Gemini Spark, a 24/7 personal AI agent, to Google AI Pro subscribers in India over the next few weeks. The agent is available to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers and runs quietly in the background even when a laptop is closed or a phone is locked.
Google frames Gemini Spark as a shift from a reactive assistant that answers questions into an active partner that completes real work, including while users sleep. Driven by Gemini 3.6 Flash, the tool is designed to handle time-consuming digital chores under user direction so people can focus on higher-priority tasks.
Spark operates on Google’s secure cloud infrastructure and connects natively with Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Docs, and Sheets with zero setup required. Users decide whether to turn it on and which apps it can access.
It is designed to ask first before high-stakes actions such as spending money or sending emails.
Google highlights practical automation prompts. One travel example watches for new flight or hotel booking confirmation emails and adds the details automatically to a “My Bali Trip Itinerary” Google Sheet.
Another finds local events and activities in Bali and places them on the calendar on free days.
Other sample uses include scanning Gmail for wedding RSVPs, organizing dietary restrictions into a table, and drafting a summary email to a caterer. A monthly saver-style prompt audits digital invoices, flags subscription price hikes or ending trials, and pre-drafts cancellation emails.
An entrepreneur prompt can scan the inbox for customer inquiries, draft service and pricing replies, and save them for review.
Spark remains under user direction at every step. The India expansion puts always-on agent workflows into the hands of AI Pro and Ultra subscribers who want background help across everyday Workspace tasks.
