Windows 12 Release Date, Features, and Everything We Know So Far

Microsoft has not announced Windows 12, assigned it a release date, or identified a codename for it. The clearest public roadmap milestone is Microsoft's announcement of Windows 11 version 26H2 for the second half of 2026.
According to Zac Bowden of Windows Central, Microsoft has no plan to release Windows 12 in 2026. Bowden does not expect a product carrying that name before 2027 at the earliest, and even that is not a prediction of a 2027 launch.
