xAI is rolling out new governance features for Grok Bot, its always-on AI agent service, with access, network, and audit controls aimed at letting enterprises manage bots at scale. The company says the update is designed to help organizations govern the autonomous workers they create inside the platform. Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers can use Grok Bot free for the next two weeks and invite their entire organization, including people without an existing seat.
Grok Bot, which launched in beta in August, lets subscribers deploy AI agents that work around the clock on professional tasks, signing into apps and websites and sharing context with each other. The new enterprise controls arrive as xAI says thousands of organizations have adopted the service since launch, including Legora, Supermicro, and ServiceTitan.
A Bot is a worker created for a specific job, running on its own cloud computer and able to use apps and websites like a person would. Users message a Bot like a coworker, and it returns when work is done or needs a decision. Bots can learn workflows by following along once, accept corrections, and then run the routine independently. They can also be shared as templates and message each other to pass context.
xAI highlights several use cases beyond engineering, which it says is not the heaviest area of use. The company points to sales bots that leave draft outreach for review the next morning, recruiting bots that assemble candidate shortlists overnight, and procurement bots that track spending and contract renewals to flag where a company could pay less. Engineering bots, it says, watch open pull requests for bugs and broken builds and run audits while teams are offline.
According to xAI, each user's work runs in an isolated environment kept apart from other users, and a Bot starts with no access, reaching only the accounts it is signed into. The announcement does not specify pricing for the enterprise tier beyond the two-week free period.
