Sony Electronics has introduced the WH-1000XM4C, a refreshed take on its popular WH-1000XM4 noise-cancelling headphones, along with two new wireless models in its mid-range and entry-level lines. The WH-1000XM4C keeps the 1000X Series noise cancelling and premium sound of its predecessor but adds a new 10-band equalizer for personalized audio. It will be available this fall in Black and Platinum Silver, with a Lavender option sold only through Sony and Amazon. The suggested price is $299.99 in the US and $429.99 in Canada.
The WH-1000XM4C is a lightweight, foldable design aimed at travelers, and it will also be sold at Best Buy and other retailers. Sony says the model reflects ongoing demand for a headphone known for its combination of noise cancelling, sound quality, and comfort. The company also recently announced the 1000X THE COLLEXION and WH-1000XM6, continuing the 1000X line that began in 2016.
The new WH-CH730N is a mid-range wireless headphone with noise cancelling and a foldable design. Sony lists it from September 2026 in Blue, Pink, White and Black, with an Oat color exclusive to Sony and Amazon. The suggested price is $179.99 in the US and $249.99 in Canada. Battery life reaches up to 50 hours with noise cancelling on, and a three-minute quick charge provides one hour of playback.
The WH-CH730N also includes Dual Noise Sensor technology, Precise Voice Pickup Technology for calls, and support for LE Audio, Multipoint, and Fast Pair/Swift Pair.
At the entry level, Sony announced the WH-CH530, an on-ear headphone with soft head cushions. It is available now in Black, Cobalt, White, and Pink, with Coral and Mint colors exclusive to Sony and Amazon. The suggested price is $69.99 in the US and $99.99 in Canada. Battery life is up to 55 hours, and a three-minute charge yields 1.5 hours of playback.
The WH-CH530 includes AI noise reduction for calls, a five-step volume control to protect hearing, and the same wireless features as the WH-CH730N. Color availability may vary by region, and battery performance depends on settings and usage. Sony did not specify exact release dates beyond the fall and September 2026 windows.
