Razer today introduced the Razer Barracuda V2 Pro, a wireless gaming headset that can combine 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth audio, with a battery rating of up to 70 hours. The headset pairs Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation with detachable and built-in microphones for switching between gaming sessions and mobile calls. Razer has not disclosed a price.
The simultaneous connections let players take calls or listen to music while keeping their game audio running, according to Razer. A Razer SmartSwitch button lets users switch between Bluetooth and the 2.4 GHz connection, giving desktop and mobile devices separate wireless options. Razer lists support for consoles and handheld devices alongside PC and mobile use.

For PC listening, THX Spatial Audio+ provides virtual surround in a 7.1.4 configuration, including four channels positioned overhead. That surround feature is specific to PC connections, even though Razer pitches the headset for several types of device. Razer™ TriForce Bio-Cellulose 40 mm Drivers handle sound, while Razer says its Razer™ HyperSpeed Wireless connection delivers audio with latency up to twice as fast as Bluetooth LE.
For voice chat at a PC, users can attach the boom microphone; removing it leaves internal beamforming microphones available for mobile use. Razer says AI-powered microphone noise cancellation reduces background sound with either microphone configuration, so the feature also works when the boom is detached. Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation uses microphones facing both outward and inward to reduce surrounding distractions during listening.
The headset weighs 285 g and folds into a flat shape for carrying between a desk and other locations. It also has storage for the wireless dongle, plus cushioned ear pads and a headband intended for extended listening, according to Razer. The company positions the battery rating of up to 70 hours as enough for use across multiple days between charges.
Razer's recent audio additions also include a Pompompurin version of the Kraken Kitty V2 BT and Kuromi-themed Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds, previously scheduled for October 2 and October 13 respectively. Those earbuds included HyperSpeed Wireless and support for audio across multiple platforms, extending Razer's recent headset and earbud offerings through its Sanrio collaboration.
