Netflix will carry La Velada del Año across its 2027, 2028 and 2029 editions, securing three years of the boxing and music event created by Ibai Llanos. The seventh edition will stream live exclusively on Netflix, bringing the event's bouts between internet personalities and musical performances to the service. Netflix says the move will help the event reach viewers globally.
The agreement begins in 2027, following a sixth edition that broadened its streaming distribution this year. The move to an exclusive Netflix broadcast follows a 2026 edition distributed through YouTube and TikTok, alongside an event history centered primarily on Llanos' Twitch channel.

La Velada del Año reached a peak audience of 9.3 million simultaneous viewers during its fifth edition in 2025. Its average audience rose from approximately 1 million viewers in 2021 to more than 6 million in 2026. Those audience measures cover different editions: the peak figure comes from the fifth event, while the latest average comes from the sixth.
Llanos launched La Velada del Año in 2021, initially staging it in a Barcelona concert venue. Across six editions, it has paired amateur boxing contests involving online personalities with music performed live for spectators and streaming audiences. Participants have included digital creators from both Latin America and Spain.
The physical event has also moved into stadiums, including Seville's La Cartuja and Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu and Metropolitano. Llanos says the Netflix agreement gives him an opportunity to grow the event while preserving the community behind it.
The deal follows Netflix's separate agreement to become WWE's exclusive streaming destination in Japan from October 1, covering its archive, weekly programming and Premium Live Events. That Japanese offering included WWE across every Netflix plan without an additional charge, with live broadcasts offering commentary in Japanese as well as the original English.
