Huawei launched a golf-focused Honma edition of its Watch GT 6 Pro in Malaysia, featuring a golden titanium bezel and up to 21 days of battery life. The collaboration with Japanese golf equipment manufacturer Honma marks Huawei's first smartwatch partnership with a luxury golf brand.
Priced at RM1,299 (approximately $328), the special edition watch carries a roughly $50 premium over the standard Watch GT 6 Pro. In the Philippines, early pricing starts at PhP 17,999 (~$307) until March 11 before reverting to PhP 19,999 (~$341).
Each unit ships in a premium gift box that includes a commemorative golden golf ball and compass stand.
The watch retains the core specifications of the standard 46mm Watch GT 6 Pro while adding distinctive design elements. An octagonal golden dial case frames the 1.47-inch AMOLED display, protected by sapphire glass. The black sports band features the Honma logo and a matching golden buckle.
Battery performance reaches up to 21 days in light use scenarios, dropping to 12 days for typical use and seven days with the always-on display enabled. The device maintains the ECG functionality and titanium construction of the standard model while adding golf-specific software features.
Golf intelligence features include an integrated AI caddie that provides expert strategy based on club selection and course conditions. The Green Slope Direction function uses the watch's sensors to indicate how gravity will pull a rolling ball based on the downhill direction of the green surface.
Additional golf tools include plays-like distance calculations that adjust yardages to account for elevation changes, and global course maps with precision swing analysis. The watch supports over 100 sports modes beyond golf, including freediving up to 40 meters and health tracking.
The partnership combines Huawei's wearable technology with Honma's 66-year heritage in premium golf equipment manufacturing. Founded in 1959, the Japanese company is known for hand-crafted golf clubs and traditional craftsmanship that influenced the watch's design aesthetics.
Currently available in Malaysia and the Philippines, the Honma edition represents Huawei's move into the luxury sports market. The company simultaneously launched other wearables including the FreeClip 2 open-ear earbuds and new strap options for existing smartwatch models.
