Helldivers 2 adds the Noxious Scavenger and Noxious Spewer on November 3, 2026, bringing poisonous bites and webs to Terminid encounters. Bug caves can also spawn in more biomes, including deserts and frozen tundras, according to PlayStation Blog.

The Noxious Scavenger looks similar to an ordinary Scavenger but moves faster. Its bites poison Helldivers, and it can attack again with very little delay. These enemies are fragile, with the announcement recommending shotguns, flamethrowers and grenades for dealing with them.

The larger Noxious Spewer is also fast and creates battlefield webs. Its Web Spit stops a target from sprinting when it connects at medium range. Its bite combines speed with long reach and delivers more venom than a Scavenger bite.

The Spewer has medium armor on its head, while its abdomen is unarmored. Bursting that web-filled sac triggers a Web Explosion, snaring nearby Helldivers and bugs.

A new HUD icon lets players monitor poisoning. Light poisoning clouds vision and drains health. Heavy poisoning increases the damage over time, prevents sprinting and also clouds vision. Stims can help cure poisoning, and the announcement highlights their use for poisoned squadmates who need help continuing the mission.

The expanded cave spawns give bug tunnels a chance to appear across more of the Galactic map. The announcement describes these tight tunnels as especially favorable territory for the new Noxious enemies. Underground encounters feature limited sightlines and blind corners, with fast enemies approaching before players hear them. Arrowhead recommends weapons for close combat, keeping the squad together and saving a stim for a teammate who moves too far ahead.
