A new Pixel Watch 5 leak from leaker Evan Blass appears to show what appear to be official Google marketing materials, offering about as complete a look at the smartwatch's design as we're likely to get before the Made by Google event on August 12. The leaked images and renders, shared via Blass's newsletter, focus heavily on the watch's functionality alongside its four color options.
The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to come in Matte Black, Polished Silver, Satin Pyrite and Champagne Gold, and the leaked materials also point to a variety of interchangeable watch bands. The design largely carries over from the Pixel Watch 4, with the fresh renders reportedly showing few surprises for current owners.
Health tracking dominates the leaked feature set. The upcoming watch is expected to gain heart-health support including irregular-rhythm notifications and heart rate variability tracking, alongside sleep tracking, blood oxygen level measurements and cardio load tracking.
The leaked screenshots also show atrial fibrillation detection and sleep tracking as part of the health suite.
The watch will reportedly arrive in Wi-Fi and LTE+Wi-Fi variants, both with built-in GPS for run tracking, and a virtual coach is said to help runners maintain pace. Google's Fitbit Personal Health Coach and the "Ask Coach" feature that the company released late last year are also expected to be supported.
The watch will collect data and offer insights, such as whether users sleep better after hitting their step goal.
