Google has added three features to Gemini Notebook that let students generate 60-second videos explaining concepts, work through coursework in guided reviews and test themselves with additional quiz formats. The features launched recently and are available for students to try with their own study materials.
Short Video Overviews turn a concept into a brief video that students can watch while out or share with classmates. For a broader review, students can create an Interactive Learning Overview from the Reports section to move through their study material in stages. Google says these overviews combine summaries with outputs such as flashcards, slides and quizzes, using only the student's coursework as their source.

The expanded quizzes include fill-in-the blank questions alongside short-answer and multi-select options. Students can also request feedback from their notebook after a quiz or flashcard review, which Google says can help identify subjects that need more attention.
The additions follow September's expansion of study notebooks in Gemini to school and work accounts, where access requires administrators to enable both Gemini Notebook and the Gemini app. Those study notebooks already offered custom lessons and practice quizzes, plus a dashboard separating stronger subjects from topics needing more work.
