ASUS has introduced the ROG Bulwark Dock DG310, a dock for ROG XBOX Ally gaming handhelds that supports output to a TV or monitor at 4K and 144Hz. It connects the handheld to a desktop or TV setup through one USB-C cable, adding connections for wired peripherals and networking alongside the display output. ASUS has not disclosed a price.
The ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 includes HDMI 2.1, a 1Gb Ethernet connection and three USB Type-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, giving users places to connect accessories such as a controller, keyboard or mouse. USB-C power delivery reaches up to 80 watts when the dock is used with a 100-watt charger.
For TV gaming, the HDMI connection supports variable refresh rate, which adjusts a display's refresh rate to follow the game's frame rate and, according to ASUS, reduces tearing and stuttering. ASUS says supported TVs recognize a connected Ally as an XBOX and automatically select their Game mode to reduce lag, with auto low-latency mode also supported. HDR support is included for compatible games and displays, while the 4K output can run at 144Hz.
A button on the ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 lets users initiate Bluetooth pairing for wireless accessories, including headsets and controllers. ASUS says those accessories pair with the ROG XBOX Ally directly through the dock's controls, avoiding the need to navigate pairing menus. For the physical connection to the handheld, the dock uses an attached USB-C cable measuring 60cm, with its connector set at a 90-degree angle.
The ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 also has a stand that ASUS says keeps the docked handheld's airflow clear, plus a black exterior and RGB lighting with four selectable modes. The accessory follows ASUS's earlier introduction of the ROG XBOX Ally X20, a handheld marking ROG's 20th anniversary. That model features a 7.4-inch OLED screen and an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, with an AR glasses bundle also part of the offering.
