Retry the bank connection in Spark Driver’s Manage earnings settings, then update and reopen the app if the screen fails. Contact Spark Driver Support if the control is missing or the connection keeps failing. These steps cover the U.S. Spark Driver app on iOS and Android.

Linking a bank for Spark earnings and linking an external bank inside OnePay are separate tasks. Follow the OnePay steps only when that is where your connection fails. Sign in only through Spark Driver’s own app or website, and never share a code, password, or remote access with someone who contacts you.

The short version

  • Start in Spark: Open Account > Earnings overview > Manage earnings settings to find your bank-link controls.
  • Fix loading problems: Update and reopen Spark before retrying the earnings screen.
  • Keep the flows separate: OnePay’s manual bank verification applies to eligible external-bank links inside OnePay.
  • Escalate repeated failures: Use Spark’s support chat for missing controls or unsuccessful Spark bank links.

Retry from Spark earnings settings

Sign in to Spark Driver. On iOS, tap More > Account > Earnings overview > Manage earnings settings. On Android, tap Menu > Account > Earnings overview > Manage earnings settings.

For an initial connection, tap LINK BANK ACCOUNT. The options you see depend on your earnings-account status. If that control is missing or the link repeatedly fails, use the Spark support steps below.

Changing the account replaces the existing bank account used for your earnings. To make that replacement, tap Change Account on the same earnings settings screen.

Update Spark Driver

Open the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, search for Spark Driver, and open its listing. Tap UPDATE when offered. Spark identifies OPEN as indicating that you have the latest available version.

Return to Manage earnings settings and retry the connection. Updating is a general app troubleshooting step, so contact Spark support if the bank connection itself is still rejected.

Reopen the app and refresh your session

Close Spark Driver, reopen it, and retry the earnings-account screen. On a Face ID iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause, find Spark, then swipe its preview upward before reopening it. On an iPhone with a Home button, double-click Home, find Spark, and swipe its preview upward before reopening it.

On a Pixel, open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Spark Driver > Force stop, then tap OK. Reopen Spark and retry. This path applies to the Pixel Android interface.

Spark also recommends restarting your phone and signing out and back in for general app problems. On iOS, tap MORE > SETTINGS > SIGN OUT; on Android, tap the top-left menu icon > SETTINGS > SIGN OUT. Sign back into your existing account and retry the earnings screen.

At a store, Spark also suggests trying the store’s free Wi-Fi. Reopen the earnings-account screen after connecting. These steps address general app or connection trouble; a continuing bank-link rejection needs Spark support.

Try additional app recovery on Pixel

Clearing the cache removes Spark’s temporary app files. On a Pixel, open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Spark Driver > Storage & cache > Clear cache. Retry Spark before moving to a broader reset.

For a system update, open Settings > System > Software update and follow the offered instructions. This is another general app troubleshooting step for supported Pixel phones. Use Spark support for a continuing bank-link rejection.

Clearing storage erases any data saved in the Spark app. For this optional app recovery step, open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Spark Driver > Storage & cache. Tap Clear storage or Clear data, whichever your Pixel displays, then tap OK. Sign back in to Spark if it asks you to.

Contact Spark for missing controls or repeated failures

For a missing Spark bank-link control or repeated Spark linking failures, tap More on iOS or Menu on Android, then open Help. Under Contact Driver Support, tap CHAT NOW. Explain the failure to the support bot and use agent escalation if offered. If chat is unavailable, open Spark’s official Driver Support options help page for its alternative contact channel.

To report a malfunctioning screen, tap More on iOS or Menu on Android, then open Help > Report an Issue. Choose the relevant category and Specific issue, then tap OK. Enter a description without sensitive information and tap SAVE.

You can take a screenshot on your device and attach a redacted copy through CAMERA or GALLERY. Tap SEND to submit the report.

Check OnePay payout selection separately

If you use an eligible OnePay account for earnings, open Spark’s Manage earnings settings and tap Make Primary for that account. The same screen has APPLY FOR ONEPAY to begin an application, subject to eligibility and approval. Use the option that matches whether you are applying or selecting an existing account.

When your Spark interface displays Payment Method, open Earnings > Payment Method and select OnePay as the primary payout method. OnePay says this connection does not require entering its routing or account number. Linking an external bank inside OnePay does not establish this Spark payout selection.

Retry an external bank connection inside OnePay

For an external-bank link in an adult OnePay deposit account, open OnePay and tap your initials > Account > Linked Accounts > Link bank account > Get started. Find your bank and enter its login details. The linked account must be a personal checking or savings account you own, and ownership documentation may be requested.

If this connection uses Plaid and rejects your login, test the credentials on your bank’s website. Re-enter them in the linking flow, checking autofill for outdated information or stray spaces. Apply these credential checks to the Plaid-powered connection where the error occurs.

Use OnePay manual verification when your bank is absent

If your bank is absent from OnePay’s bank search, scroll down and tap Link with account numbers. Enter the routing and account numbers for the eligible external-bank link. This is a OnePay linking path, separate from Spark’s direct-bank controls.

After the micro-deposit arrives, open Cash Control > Linked Accounts in OnePay and select the pending bank. Tap Verify and enter the three-letter code from the deposit description. If you cannot complete the OnePay link, use OnePay’s in-app chat for help.

Resolve bank authentication and sharing problems

For a Plaid connection that requires additional bank setup, sign in to your bank’s website. Inspect Privacy or Security for a setting such as Third-Party Sharing, and check that online banking and newly issued cards are activated. The labels and required acknowledgments vary by bank.

When a bank-provided authentication code does not arrive during Plaid linking, check the phone number and email in your bank’s account settings. Update outdated details or ask bank support to correct them. Ask the bank to confirm that one-time password delivery is enabled.

For a temporary Plaid connection failure, retry later and check with bank support. If the institution is unavailable or incompatible in that connection, ask the connecting app’s support about its supported linking options. Compatibility can differ between apps using Plaid.

For OnePay approval, access or external-bank linking problems, use OnePay’s in-app chat. Spark payout configuration problems may also require Spark support.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can you check whether a OnePay application was approved?

If you are an approved U.S. Spark driver applying through Earnings Account > APPLY FOR ONEPAY, tap Back to Spark Driver™ Account after the application flow to inspect your approval status. Approval is also communicated by email or text.

Will Spark’s troubleshooting tests validate your bank account?

Spark’s tests assess settings, registration and notifications; they do not validate bank accounts. For accompanying notification or offer problems, tap More on iOS or Menu on Android, then open Settings > Troubleshooting, tap RUN TESTS if needed, and follow the reported guidance. If Spark Now is disabled, read its banner for required account updates.

Can you start a OnePay connection from your other bank?

Yes, when your bank supports connecting to OnePay through Plaid, Mastercard Data Connect or a similar service. Start external-account linking in that bank’s app or website, select OnePay, enter the associated phone number or email, and supply the six-digit verification code and account passcode. Then choose the desired pocket; the entry menus vary by bank.

Where can you find the official Spark Driver app download?

Open https://www.sparkdriverapp.com/en_us/signup.html for the official U.S. download page. Choose View App Store QR or View Google Play QR, then scan the appropriate code with your phone’s camera.

Which buttons restart an iPhone or Pixel?

On iPhone X and later, hold the side button and either volume button until the shutdown slider appears; on iPhone SE second or third generation, hold the side button until the slider appears. For either iPhone path, move the slider, wait 30 seconds, then hold the side button until the Apple logo appears. On Pixel 6 and later, including Fold, briefly hold Power and Volume up, then tap Restart. On Pixel 5a and earlier, hold Power for approximately 30 seconds or until the phone restarts.
