To fix Microsoft Teams Calendar not loading, fully quit and reopen Teams, check your account and internet connection, then try the calendar in a desktop browser. If the browser version works, update or repair the affected app before clearing its cache or reinstalling it. The Windows steps below use Windows 11 menus.
The short version
- Start small: Select Refresh when Teams offers it, or fully quit and reopen the desktop app.
- Check the account: Make sure you are viewing the account associated with the calendar you need.
- Compare with the web: Open the same account in Teams on the web to help isolate a desktop app problem.
- Save bigger repairs for later: Update first, then repair, clear the cache or reinstall only if the problem continues.

Restart Teams and check the calendar you selected
If Teams displays a synchronization banner, select Refresh, then open Calendar again. Otherwise, right-click the Teams taskbar icon on Windows or its Dock icon on Mac and select Quit. Open Teams again and select Calendar.
If restarting does not help, select your profile picture and choose Sign out. Reopen Teams and sign in with the account whose calendar you need.
In desktop Teams, select your profile picture and choose the account associated with your calendar. If it is missing, select Add another account > Create or use another account and sign in. Open Calendar again.
If the calendar opens but expected events are absent, check its desktop view before repairing the app. Select Work week and choose a broader view, then open Filter to inspect restrictions hiding events. Select Show navigation pane, then under My calendars, display the intended calendar or calendar group.
If the navigation icon is missing on desktop or web, select View more apps on the left. If Calendar appears, right-click its icon and select Pin. If it is unavailable there, ask IT to check your assigned app policy.
Check your connection and service status
Open a website to check internet access. If connectivity is failing and you use a VPN, turn it off and back on, then retry Teams. If the connection problem continues, restart your Wi-Fi modem using its manufacturer's instructions. These checks apply to desktop, web and mobile Teams.
For a work or school account, ask an administrator with service-health access to open the Microsoft 365 admin center, then select Health > Service health. Have them review Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online and open any matching incident for its workaround and recovery status. If no incident matches, they can select Report an issue; service health is also available in the Microsoft 365 Admin mobile app.
If you cannot access an administrator dashboard, open Microsoft's Service Health Status page for public consumer-service information. Its Microsoft 365 administrator-center link leads to business incident information, which can be more specific to your organization.
Fix loading problems in a desktop browser
Open Teams on the web in a supported desktop browser, sign in to the affected account and select Calendar. A working web calendar gives you access while you repair the desktop app and helps distinguish a local app problem from an account or service problem.
If Teams fails to connect in the browser, temporarily disable your ad-blocking extension for Teams using the extension's controls, then reload Teams. If cookie restrictions prevent loading, follow the steps for your browser.
In Edge, open Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies. Turn on Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended). Under Allowed to save cookies, select Add site for each required Microsoft domain.
The required domains are microsoft.com, cloud.microsoft, microsoftonline.com, teams.skype.com, teams.microsoft.com, sfbassets.com and skypeforbusiness.com. In Edge and Chrome, add each domain with a [*.] prefix, such as [*.]microsoftonline.com, so the exception also covers its subdomains. In Firefox, add each domain in the https:// form described below.
In Chrome, open More > Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies. Under Sites allowed to use third-party cookies, select Add, enter [*.]teams.microsoft.com and select Add again. Repeat for the required authentication domains above. Alternatively, while on Teams, select Third-party cookies blocked in the address bar and turn on Third-party cookies.
In Firefox, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Exceptions. Add each required Microsoft site with an https:// prefix, select Allow for each, then select Save Changes.
If your organization controls these permissions, ask IT to configure CookiesAllowedForUrls for Edge or Chrome with the required Microsoft domains. For managed Firefox, IT can configure Cookies > Allowed Sites through its administrative policy template.
Clearing Edge cookies signs you out of affected sites. For continued browser-session trouble, open Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear. Choose the Time range, select Cookies and other site data, then select Clear now. Reopen Teams and sign in.
Install the available Teams update
On Windows or Mac, when Update appears at the top of Teams, select Update > Update and restart Teams. Reopen Teams if it does not reopen automatically, then check Calendar. If no update is offered, continue with the repair steps for your device.
On iPhone or iPad, open App Store, tap your photo or open My Account, then select App Updates. Tap Update beside Microsoft Teams. For automatic updates, open Settings > Apps > App Store and turn on App Updates.
On Android, open Google Play Store, tap your profile icon and select Manage apps & device. Under Updates available, tap See details, then tap Update beside Microsoft Teams. For automatic updates, open the app's details page, select More and turn on Enable auto update.
Repair or clear local Teams data on Windows
Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Beside Microsoft Teams, select More > Advanced options, then select Repair if available. Open Teams and retry Calendar; if Repair is missing, continue to the reset option.
Resetting Teams removes local app data and personalization. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Microsoft Teams, then select More options > Advanced options. Under Reset, select Reset, then restart Teams and check the calendar.
Cache deletion is another targeted repair when the problem appears confined to the desktop app, such as when the same calendar works in a browser. Use the current Teams location below rather than a classic Teams cache location.
Deleting the Teams cache removes cached app files and diagnostic evidence. Quit Teams, press Windows + R, then enter the following path and select OK.
%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeamsDelete the contents of that directory, then restart Teams. Open Calendar to check whether it loads.
Clear the current Teams cache on Mac
Use this repair when the problem appears local to the Mac app. Removing the cache folders deletes cached app files and diagnostic evidence. Quit Teams with Command + Q, then open Finder > Go > Go to Folder and enter this location.
~/Library/Group Containers/Remove the folder named UBF8T346G9.com.microsoft.teams. Return to Go > Go to Folder and enter the next location.
~/Library/Containers/Remove the folder named com.microsoft.teams2, then restart Teams. Check Calendar again before moving on to a reinstall.
Repair an unresponsive mobile app
Clearing the Android app cache removes cached app files. Open Settings > App or Apps and notifications > Microsoft Teams > Storage and Cache > Clear Cache, then reopen Teams. Android labels vary by manufacturer.
For an unresponsive Teams app on an iPhone without a Home button, swipe up from the bottom and pause. On a supported iPhone with a Home button, double-click Home instead. Find Teams, swipe its preview upward and reopen the app.
If you need to restart an iPhone with Face ID, hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears. On iPhone SE second or third generation, hold the side button instead. Drag the slider, wait 30 seconds, then hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
If app troubleshooting has not helped on iPhone or iPad and no Teams update is available, check for a system update. Back up the device, connect it to power and Wi-Fi, then open Settings > General > Software Update. When an update is offered, tap Download and Install.
Reinstall Teams when local repairs fail
Uninstalling Teams removes the installed app from your Windows PC. Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Microsoft Teams and select More > Uninstall. Alternatively, right-click its entry under Start > All apps and select Uninstall.
Moving Teams to the Trash removes the installed app from your Mac. Right-click Teams in the Dock, hold Option and select Force Quit. Open Applications, select Microsoft Teams and move it to the Trash.
Deleting Teams on iPhone or iPad can remove locally stored app data. Touch and hold Microsoft Teams, tap Remove App, tap Delete App, then tap Delete. Reinstall Microsoft Teams from the App Store and sign in. If your managed device restricts app deletion, ask your administrator for help.
For desktop reinstalls, open Microsoft's official Teams download page and choose the download for your platform; it also covers mobile downloads. Install the current app, sign in and open Calendar. If the web calendar works but the reinstalled app still fails, use Teams on the web as your alternative.
Ask IT to repair work or school calendar access
If Calendar is missing because of your assigned app setup policy, ask IT to open the Teams admin center, select Teams apps > Setup policies and edit your policy. Under Pinned apps, they select Add apps, find Calendar in Add pinned apps and select Add, then Save. Policy changes can take hours to appear.
For an account failure, ask IT to verify a working supported Exchange mailbox and the required Teams entitlement. They can review licenses in the Microsoft 365 admin center under Users > Active users, select the affected user, then open Licenses and Apps. Product and service labels depend on your organization's subscriptions; do not remove and reassign licenses indiscriminately.
If your mailbox is hosted on-premises in a supported hybrid deployment, ask your Exchange administrator to check mailbox discovery, externally published Autodiscover and EWS endpoints, Microsoft Entra synchronization, OAuth and Exchange service-principal configuration. These checks concern server integration and require your administrator.
If your organization retains Skype for Business coexistence configurations, ask IT to open the Teams admin center, select Users > Manage users, select your account and review Coexistence mode. Microsoft identifies Skype for Business only and Skype for Business with Teams collaboration as modes that do not permit Teams meetings. Your administrator must choose a mode appropriate to the deployment.
If local repairs and administrator checks do not resolve the failure, ask your organization's IT administrator to submit a Microsoft support request. Include the affected UserPrincipalName, the UTC reproduction time and Teams diagnostic logs.
Frequently Asked Questions
