To find posts you have liked on Facebook, open Activity Log and review Your activity across Facebook. Your activity history includes likes and other reactions, including Love and Haha. Use the Facebook profile that originally liked the post.

The short version

  • Find liked posts: Open Activity Log and review your likes and other interactions.
  • Find older activity: Apply the date filters for your Facebook layout.
  • Revisit videos: Open your profile’s Reels area and select Liked in the Android, iPhone or iPad app.

Find liked posts on your computer

Click your profile picture at the top right of Facebook, then choose Settings & Privacy > Activity Log > Activity history. Under Activity Type, select Your activity across Facebook to review your activity, including likes.

Open your likes in the Android or iPhone app

On Android, tap Menu at the top left, then tap Options below your profile picture. Open Activity Log > Your activity across Facebook to review likes and other interactions.

On iPhone, tap Menu at the top left, tap your name, then choose Options below your profile picture. Open Activity Log > Your activity across Facebook. Review likes and other interactions there.

Use Activity Log on iPad or Facebook Lite

On iPad, tap Menu at the bottom right, tap your name, then choose Options below your profile picture. Open Activity Log to review your chronological activity, including things you liked. Tap Categories to narrow the activity, or tap Year and select a year.

In Facebook Lite on Android, tap Menu at the top right, then tap Options below your profile picture. Choose Activity Log > Interactions to review likes, reactions and comments.

Find likes in a mobile browser

In Facebook’s supported touch browser interface, tap Menu at the top right, then Options at the top right. Continue through Activity Log > View Activity History > Filters > Categories > Interactions. Review the entries for your likes and reactions.

Basic mobile browsers do not support Activity Log. If you are using that interface, use the Facebook app or desktop website to review your activity instead.

Narrow the history by date

Once you have the activity history open on desktop, click Date and select Year. Choose the year and optionally a month, then click Save Changes. This narrows the results to the period when you remember liking the post.

In the Android and iPhone apps, tap Filters > Date, select Start Date and End Date, then tap Done. Use Filters > Categories to narrow the activity category. Facebook Lite uses these same date and category filter paths.

Go straight to liked reels and videos

On Android, tap Menu at the top left, then select Reels above Details and tap Liked. Open the reel or video you want to revisit from that list.

On iPhone, tap Menu at the top left, then tap your name. Select Reels above Details, tap Liked, then open the reel or video you want.

On iPad, tap Menu at the bottom right, then tap your name. Select Reels above Details, tap Liked, then open the reel or video you want.

The dedicated list contains Likes, so use Activity Log for videos you reacted to with Love, Haha or another reaction. Meta directs desktop and Lite users to the main Android or iPhone app for the dedicated liked reels view.

If older instructions point you to the Video tab, look for Reels instead. Meta renamed the tab, so use the current Reels entry where available and follow the profile route above.

Access or export your retained activity

Desktop account settings provide another way into your activity history. Click your profile picture, then choose Settings & privacy > Settings > Meta Account > Your information and permissions > Access your information. Open the relevant Facebook profile’s Activity log to review its likes.

Accounts still undergoing migration may show Accounts Center instead of Meta Account in these settings paths. The Access your information entry leads to your activity log rather than a separate liked-post feed.

To download retained activity on desktop, click your profile picture, then choose Settings & privacy > Settings > Meta Account > Your information and permissions > Export your information > Create export. Select your Facebook profile, then select Export to device. Choose your date range and HTML format, keep the activity information included, then click Start export.

On Android, tap Menu at the top left, then Settings & privacy > Settings > Meta Account > Your information and permissions > Export your information > Create export. Select your Facebook profile, tap Next, then select Export to device. Choose the date range and HTML format, keep activity information included, and tap Start export.

You can also open Facebook’s account information export tool in a browser, sign in and continue through Export your information for the relevant profile. Complete any requested password or identity verification. If you need your password, you can find a saved Facebook password or reset it.

When Facebook notifies you that the export is ready, return to Export your information > Available downloads and download it within four days. Extract the ZIP and open the HTML file named index to inspect the activity. An export contains retained account information and does not guarantee copies of other people’s original posts. Deleted or no-longer-retained information may be unavailable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my private likes history make my reactions private?

No, the private history or list does not make your reaction on the original post private. The history’s privacy and the original reaction’s visibility are separate.

Why is a video missing after I unliked it?

The dedicated Liked video list excludes items you subsequently unliked. You can use it to find videos you still have liked, rather than every video you ever liked.

Are liked Facebook Pages included with liked posts?

Likes on Pages are a different category from posts you liked. Keep that distinction in mind when choosing an activity category.

Does saving a reel also mean I liked it?

No, saving and liking are separate actions. Saving a reel does not count as liking it, and your profile’s Reels area shows Saved and Liked as separate lists.
