To change your shipping address on Amazon.com, open Your Account > Your Addresses, select Edit beneath the address, enter the new details, and select Update address. This updates your saved address for future orders but does not change an existing order or a Wish List. For an eligible order you already placed, open Your Orders > Order Details on the desktop website and select Change beside the address before dispatch.

Update your saved addresses and default
On Amazon.com, open Your Account > Your Addresses and find the address you want to revise. Select Edit beneath it, update the details, then select Update address. To save another destination instead, select Add address, enter the address and delivery preferences, then select Add address again.
Under your preferred destination, select Set as Default. That sets the default shipping address for future checkout. Handle any existing order or Wish List address change separately.
To remove an obsolete address, open Your Account > Your Addresses, select Remove beneath it, then select Yes. If the address is associated with pending Subscribe and Save orders, those orders must use another address before you remove it. Removing a saved address does not reroute an existing order.
Change an existing Amazon.com order on desktop
For an eligible Amazon.com order that has not been dispatched, open Your Orders on the desktop website. Select Order Details for the relevant purchase, then select Change beside the address information. Follow the displayed instructions to choose the correct destination and complete the change.
You can use this route only while the order remains eligible and the Change control is available. Amazon says mobile devices cannot change an existing order's address through this flow, so use the desktop website. If you cannot edit the order there, choose the next action based on its seller and shipping status.
Get help with a seller order
For an Amazon.com third-party order, open Your Orders and select the item. If you see Problem with order, select it and follow the prompts to describe the address problem. Depending on your order, the prompts may offer an option to email the seller, direct you to a relevant service or information, or connect you with Amazon customer service, but a destination change is not guaranteed.
For an Amazon.co.uk third-party seller-dispatched order, you have an initial 30-minute window to edit the address. Within that window, open Your Orders > View Order Details on desktop, select Change beside the address, and follow the displayed instructions. After that window, select Contact Seller to request assistance. This UK timing rule does not apply universally to Amazon.com orders.
Cancel and reorder or contact the carrier
If your unshipped Amazon.com physical order cannot be edited but remains eligible for cancellation, you can cancel it and order again. Open Your Orders, select the item, then select View or change this order > Cancel items. Check the box beside each product you want to cancel, choose a cancellation reason, and select Request cancellation.
Confirm that cancellation has succeeded before placing a replacement order with the correct address. Once fulfillment starts, cancellation may require seller approval. Submitting a request alone does not confirm that the original order has been stopped.
For Amazon.co.uk orders sold and dispatched by Amazon, Amazon directs you to cancel and reorder to change the address before shipment. If your Amazon-managed order has already shipped, Amazon's UK guidance directs you to use Carrier Contact Information to contact the carrier and request an address change. The carrier determines eligibility and the procedure, so redirection is not guaranteed.
Choose an address in the UK app or at checkout
In the Amazon.co.uk Shopping app, tap the person icon to access Your Account, then select Your Addresses. Select Add Address to add a destination or Edit to revise an existing one. Beneath your preferred address, select Set as Default to make it the default.
For an Amazon.co.uk purchase you have not submitted yet, select your desired shipping address during checkout instead of the default. Review the destination before placing the order. This checkout choice applies to the purchase you are submitting; an order already placed needs its own address change.
Update Buy Now and Wish List destinations
For Amazon.co.uk Buy Now purchases, open Your Purchase Preferences. Beside the address you want, select Make default. Your changes save automatically.
For an Amazon.com Wish List, open Your Lists and select the list you want to change. In the app, tap the person icon, then open your lists and choose the one you want. Open the three-dot menu, select Manage List, update the shipping address, and select Save Changes. The list destination is separate from your existing orders and does not update when you edit an address in your address book.
Choose an Amazon Locker for an eligible order
For an eligible Amazon.com order, use Amazon's pickup-location finder to search by address or ZIP code and add an available US Locker to your address book. Alternatively, start in Your Addresses to add the pickup destination. Select that Locker as the shipping destination at checkout.
Your order must meet the Locker's item restrictions, and availability depends on the location. Adding a Locker gives you a destination to choose at checkout; it does not reroute an order you already placed.
Change your Buy with Prime checkout address
On a participating merchant's Buy with Prime checkout page, click the address section. On the Amazon account address page, select another address or enter a new supported US shipping address. If you enter a new address, it is saved to your Amazon address book. This checkout change does not modify an existing Amazon retail order.
Set shipping defaults for an Amazon Business group
If you administer an Amazon Business direct-buy group, open Business Setting > Billing & shipping > Checkout defaults. Select the group, its payment method, and its shipping address. These group controls apply to Amazon Business worldwide.
As a buyer, you can select Change during checkout to revise a default. Your individual defaults take priority over defaults set by an administrator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does changing my default shipping address change my billing address?
Changing your default shipping address on Amazon.com does not change your billing address. The shipping default determines the destination for future checkout.
Can Amazon require payment-card verification for a new shipping address?
Amazon may require payment-card verification when you use a newly added shipping address. Adding the address to your Amazon.com address book does not rule out that verification when you use it.
Why does Amazon mention 1-Click settings in its Buy Now help?
Amazon's UK Buy Now help still calls the automatically saved purchase preferences 1-Click settings. That wording alone does not mean the Buy Now address preference is retired.
Can I choose an Amazon Locker on a college campus?
You can choose an available US campus Locker for an eligible Amazon.com order. Campus Lockers are included among Amazon's pickup destinations, with availability and item restrictions still applying.
