Want to change your Vodafone WiFi password but aren't sure which settings to open? For UK part-fibre and full-fibre broadband, start with the Vodafone Broadband app or your router’s browser page. The steps below also cover UK 5G Hubs and GigaCubes, which have their own menus; Vodafone’s apps and settings differ by country.

Change your password in the Vodafone Broadband app

Turn on WiFi on the phone or tablet paired with your Vodafone Broadband app. Then open the Vodafone Broadband app, select WiFi, and tap the pencil icon.

Select Password and enter your replacement WiFi password. Tap the tick to confirm the change.

Use this method for UK part-fibre or full-fibre broadband; for 5G Broadband, go to the hub-specific browser instructions below.

Open the browser settings for UK fibre broadband

Connect your device to the router through WiFi or Ethernet. Open 192.168.1.1 in your browser to reach the Vodafone Broadband Portal.

Log in with your router administration credentials. Complete the initial login-password change if prompted; this changes the administrator password, which is separate from your WiFi password.

Select WiFi and find the wireless password further down the page. Enter your new WiFi password, then select Apply.

The Vodafone Broadband Portal is your router’s local administration page. Your Vodafone billing account has a separate login.

Find the password settings on a UK 5G Hub

For a 5G Indoor Hub, connect to the hub’s WiFi. Open 192.168.0.1 in your browser. Sign in using the Web UI credentials printed on the base, or your configured router login. Open WiFi Basic Settings and edit the wireless password.

For an Outdoor Hub installation, connect to the separate Power Hub. That’s where you manage WiFi for the installation.

Open 192.168.1.1 in your browser. Sign in with the Power Hub’s Web UI credentials. Complete any initial login-password prompt. Open WiFi → Setup and edit the wireless password.

If you cannot sign in, check the hub’s Web UI credentials or your configured router login using the next section.

Resolve a rejected router login

Entering your WiFi password in place of the router administrator password puts the wrong credentials into the login form.

Use your router administration credentials to sign in. The router administrator password, WiFi password, and Vodafone account password serve separate purposes.

On a UK 5G Indoor Hub, use the base-label Web UI credentials unless you have configured a different login. There is no universal username and password combination for Vodafone routers.

Complete an initial login-password change when the Vodafone Broadband Portal requests it. Then open WiFi to change the password your devices use to connect.

Update a UK GigaCube WiFi password

Connect your device to the GigaCube’s WiFi. Open https://giga.cube in your browser. Sign in with the router password. Select Settings.

Open Modify password and enter the new WiFi password. Select Next, then select Save to finish.

Use this route for UK 4G and 5G GigaCubes; the newer 5G Indoor Hub has its own settings page above.

Reconnect devices with the new password

Reconnect your devices using the replacement password; on Windows 11, clear the saved old password first.

  1. 1.Open the taskbar network controls and select the WiFi arrow.
  2. 2.Select More Wi-Fi settings.
  3. 3.Open Manage known networks.
  4. 4.Select Forget beside your Vodafone network.
  5. 5.Join the network again using the new WiFi password.

Restore the default password with a factory reset

Use a factory reset as a fallback when you need to restore the router’s default WiFi credentials. It erases custom settings and does not let you choose a replacement password during the reset itself.

For a UK Power Hub, Ultra Hub, or WiFi Hub, keep the router powered on. These hardware instructions do not cover the Ultra Hub 7.

Press the recessed reset control with a pin for 10 seconds. After the router restarts, reconnect using the default password printed on its base or back.

For the UK 5G Hub, hold the front button and the base WPS button together for approximately 10 seconds instead. Wait for the 5G Hub to restart and its WiFi indicator to turn solid white. Its factory settings, including the default WiFi credentials, are restored.

Once connected again, follow the password-changing steps for your router above to choose a custom WiFi password.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these steps work for Vodafone customers outside the UK?

Choose instructions for your country and router model. Spain uses Mi Vodafone for supported fibre installations, while Germany provides model-specific browser settings. UK app names and menu paths do not apply worldwide.

Where do I download the UK Vodafone Broadband app?

Open Vodafone’s official broadband app page and use the Download the Vodafone Broadband app section. The app supports UK part-fibre and full-fibre broadband on compatible phones and tablets.

Can I change my WiFi password with the WPS button?

No. WPS connects devices to WiFi; it does not let you choose a password. Set a custom password through your router’s administration page or its supported app.

Can I set a different password for guests?

Yes, on supported routers. Vodafone Germany offers separate guest WiFi credentials on Vodafone Station, EasyBox 805, and Ultra Hub 7 Cable and Fibre models. Changing the guest password affects guest access, while the main network keeps its own password.
