How to Cancel Subscriptions on Amazon

To cancel subscriptions on Amazon, open Your Memberships & Subscriptions, find the subscription, and complete its cancellation process, or use the service's dedicated settings for Prime, Music, and other memberships. If Apple, Google Play, or another provider bills you, cancel through that provider instead.

Find the subscription and its billing provider

Sign in to the Amazon account used for the purchase, then go to www.amazon.com/yourmembershipsandsubscriptions in a browser to open Your Memberships & Subscriptions. Locate the service you want to cancel and use its matching cancellation steps below.

The device you use does not determine who handles cancellation. Using an iPhone does not automatically make a subscription Apple-billed, and using an Android phone does not automatically make it Google Play-billed. Choose the route for the company actually billing the subscription.

Cancel Amazon Prime on the website or app

For Prime billed directly by Amazon, open Amazon.com in a desktop browser and select Accounts & Lists > Prime Membership > Manage Membership. Select End Membership, then complete the remaining cancellation prompts.

In the Amazon Shopping app, tap the Profile icon, then select Manage Prime Membership. Open the Manage Membership drop-down, select Manage Membership > End Membership, and complete the remaining prompts. This route also applies to Prime memberships billed by Amazon.

You can also begin through Prime Video when your video access comes with an Amazon Prime membership. On the Prime Video website, open Account & Settings, then open Your Account. Under Prime Membership, select Edit on Amazon and finish canceling Prime on Amazon.

Cancel Prime Video subscriptions and extras

For a standalone Prime Video subscription billed directly by Amazon, open Account & Settings, then open Your Account. Select End Subscription to cancel the Prime Video-only membership.

For an add-on subscription or trial billed through Prime Video, use a desktop or mobile browser and open Account & Settings > Subscriptions. Find the add-on, select Unsubscribe, and complete the confirmation. Amazon says the cancellation option may instead be labeled withdraw; check the displayed subscription end date afterward.

In the United States, Prime Video Ultra replaced the Ad Free offering. To cancel Ultra on the website, open Settings, then open Your Account and select Cancel Ultra. Complete the confirmation to finish.

On supported Fire TV, smart TV, game console, and set-top box apps, open Settings > Prime and select Cancel Ultra. On supported Android, iOS, and Fire Tablet apps, open Settings > Prime & Subscriptions and select Cancel Ultra. Complete the confirmation after either route.

If your market and account retain Ad Free, use the same website, television, or mobile path described for Ultra, then select Cancel Ad Free. Complete the confirmation to end that subscription.

End Music Kindle Unlimited or Audible

For Amazon-billed Music Unlimited plans and trials, open Your Amazon Music Settings in a browser and find Amazon Music Unlimited. Under Subscription Renewal, select Cancel and complete the cancellation confirmation.

For Amazon-billed Music Standard where offered, open Your Amazon Music Settings, then find Subscription Renewal. Select Cancel and complete the cancellation confirmation.

Open the Kindle Unlimited cancellation page at www.amazon.com/kindle-dbs/hz/cancel in a browser, sign in, and select Cancel membership. This route applies to memberships and trials purchased through Amazon, regardless of your reading device.

To cancel Audible billed directly through Audible or Amazon, open Audible's website, select your name, then select Membership details > Cancel membership. Select Confirm cancellation to finish. In a mobile browser, open the main menu first, then follow the same sequence.

Cancel other subscriptions billed through Amazon

For Comixology Unlimited, open Your Memberships & Subscriptions, sign in, and find Comixology Unlimited Membership. Select Cancel Subscription to end the membership. Your borrowed content remains accessible until the next billing date.

For a Blink plan purchased on Amazon, use the Amazon app or website and open Your Memberships & Subscriptions. Beside the plan, select Cancel Subscription, choose immediate cancellation or cancellation at renewal, then select Confirm cancellation. Choose a reason and select Submit cancellation reason; end-date and refund treatment differ by plan.

Stop Appstore storage and delivery renewals

For subscriptions purchased through Amazon Appstore, open Your Account on Amazon's website. In the UK English flow, under Digital content and devices, select Your Apps, then under Manage, select Your Subscriptions. Choose the subscription and turn off automatic renewal.

On Fire tablets with the Apps > Store interface, select Apps > Store, open the menu, and select Manage Subscriptions. Choose the subscription and disable automatic renewal.

Cancel paid Amazon Photos storage through the same channel you used to purchase it, whether web, iOS, or Android. In Amazon's UK English flow, open Your Storage and select Cancel my plan, then choose cancellation or disable automatic renewal.

For Subscribe & Save physical deliveries, open Manage Your Subscriptions for Subscribe & Save and cancel the delivery subscription there. These deliveries use a separate management area from digital memberships, and skipping a delivery does not permanently cancel the subscription.

Cancel Apple Google Play and merchant subscriptions

For Apple-billed subscriptions on iPhone, iPad, or Vision Pro, open Settings, select your name, then select Subscriptions. Choose the subscription and select Cancel Subscription. For Apple-billed Audible, select Confirm to finish.

You can also open Apple's subscription page at account.apple.com/account/manage/section/subscriptions in a browser, sign in, and complete the cancellation instructions. This route works from Android as well and applies to subscriptions billed by Apple.

For Google Play-billed subscriptions on Android, open Google Play Store, select the profile icon, then select Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Select the subscription, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the instructions. For Audible, choose a reason and select Continue.

For recurring payments through Amazon Pay, sign in, open Amazon Pay Activity > Merchant agreements, find the agreement, and select Details & Support. Under Manage merchant agreement, select Cancel agreement, then select Cancel agreement again in the dialog.

Contact the merchant separately to terminate the service agreement, because revoking Amazon Pay authorization alone does not end that contract. Amazon Pay advises revoking recurring authorization at least five days before the next scheduled payment.

Fix missing cancellation controls

If you cannot cancel through the service's own settings, check who bills the subscription. Apple-billed Prime Video add-ons and Apple-billed or Google Play-billed Audible memberships require the relevant provider's cancellation process. Music Unlimited billed by Apple, Google Play, or a mobile provider also requires that provider's process; for carrier-billed or other provider-billed Prime Video, contact that provider.

If you are following older Kids+ instructions, switch to Parent Dashboard in a browser or open Your Memberships & Subscriptions. Amazon's UK help says cancellation is unavailable in the Parent Dashboard apps for iOS and Android. For remaining Amazon Appstore subscriptions on ordinary Android phones, use Amazon's website because Amazon discontinued Appstore support for non-Fire Android devices.

If you need help canceling Amazon-billed Music Unlimited or Kindle Unlimited, contact Amazon Customer Service and request cancellation of the membership. Both services allow customer-service cancellation for memberships purchased directly from Amazon. Uninstalling Audible or an app with a Google Play subscription does not cancel the subscription.
