For just $799, down from its list price of $1148.01, the EOS RP gives buyers a full-frame body with several routes for lens selection. The 30% reduction takes $349.01 off that list price, making this worth considering if a camera body is the next piece of your setup.

What You're Getting

• A 26.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 image processor handle image capture and processing.
• The RF mount supports RF lenses directly, with EF and EF-S compatibility available through an optional mount adapter.
• Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides fast, accurate autofocus.
• EOS Utility Webcam Beta Software for Mac and Windows lets the camera serve as a webcam. Clean HDMI output offers another route for that use.
• This is the black, body-only version, so lens selection is a separate part of building your kit.

Who This Is For

The EOS RP fits photographers who want a full-frame Canon body and plan to choose their own lens, particularly those already using RF glass. Owners of EF or EF-S lenses also have a compatibility path, provided they account for the optional mount adapter. Its webcam support adds a practical use for people who want the same camera to handle photography and a desk-based video setup.
