xAI has introduced The X Subscription, bundling Cursor and X Premium with Grok and Grok Bot. The Premium tier costs $30 a month and combines benefits from Cursor Pro, X Premium+ and SuperGrok that previously cost $90 a month together. New customers could subscribe starting October 12, with xAI planning to extend access worldwide over the following few days.

Paid subscriptions begin with Plus at $8 a month, which increases access to AI in Cursor and Grok and adds X creator tools, a checkmark and fewer ads. Premium provides four times the Plus usage allowance, while Ultra costs $200 a month for 50 times that allowance. Between those tiers, Super costs $100 monthly and provides 15 times the Plus allowance, with Super and Ultra including the features offered below them.

The paid tiers share an allowance for Grok models across Cursor, the Grok apps and X's Grok tab. xAI says every tier includes at least double the coding usage with its models offered by the corresponding Cursor subscription. That shared allowance does not cover third-party models: Cursor users on Premium or higher can access them through separately billed top-ups at API list prices.

A Free tier costs $0 and offers daily Grok access, a limited starting allowance for coding agents in Cursor and standard X access. Grok handles voice and chat alongside video and image generation, while Grok Bot supplies AI teammates that xAI says can carry out work. Cursor offers coding agents that run locally or in the cloud, and higher X tiers eliminate timeline ads.

Existing subscribers to Cursor, X Premium or SuperGrok can retain their current features and pricing. xAI is gradually enabling switching through account billing settings, with prorated refunds for subscribers who move from their old plans. Subscribers can also find temporary switching offers in those settings.

Teams can purchase Premium, Ultra or Super at the same per-seat rates charged to individuals. xAI says those subscriptions cost less per seat than older Cursor Teams plans while offering three times the coding usage, plus SSO and administrative controls. Team subscriptions also provide usage analytics, consolidated billing and SOC 2 compliance, while enterprise customers can administer Cursor and Grok through one dashboard with a shared usage allowance.
