Salesforce has introduced Koa, which the announcement calls its first reasoning model for CRM, and the company says it post-trained the model from NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Super. The company says Koa already powers an employee agent inside Slack, and it will become a selectable model in Agentforce when customer pilots begin in October. General availability is expected in U.S. regions in winter 2026.
The announcement did not address pricing, model size, or performance figures, and it gave no availability date more specific than winter 2026 or any region outside the United States. The pilot roster includes Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, Baxter Credit Union, 1-800Accountant, Engine, and Xero.
On Salesforce's own CRM Bench, which tests tasks such as updating an opportunity, routing a case, and scheduling a follow-up, the company says Koa matches or exceeds leading models and makes three times fewer errors. Salesforce fine-tuned the model with supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning using NVIDIA's NeMo RL, NeMo Gym, and NeMo AutoModel tools. The training corpus covers synthetic enterprise scenarios across at least 14 industries, among them manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and travel.
Salesforce says it runs Koa entirely on its own infrastructure and controls the model's weights. Rohan Kumar, Salesforce's president of platform and engineering, introduced the model and said, "Not a single byte of customer data was used."
Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's founder and CEO, appeared onstage with Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff at Dreamforce, walking through the Moscone Center audience with a microphone on Tuesday. Huang said open models have grown from 30 percent early last year to about 70 percent now. He also said every company, enterprise, and country is becoming an AI company, and he described a coming agentic enterprise.
Huang rejected the idea that AI threatens jobs or will end the software industry, and he framed safety as an engineering problem rather than a trade-off against speed. He urged companies to pause if a product or the company itself is out of control. Benioff referred to Trailblazers as Salesforce's customer and developer community.
NVIDIA itself runs Salesforce across sales, service, marketing, and operations, and it is piloting Agentforce for customer-support workflows. The Koa launch lands after a run of Huang appearances in which he said NVIDIA could spend up to $150 billion annually in Taiwan and argued that AI creates more jobs than it eliminates. NVIDIA's headcount grew from 29,600 in fiscal 2024 to 42,000 by March 2026, and Huang predicted $1 trillion in AI orders by 2027 at GTC 2026.
