Sony is rolling out Live TV on PS5 in the U.S., a free ad-supported service with more than 100 live channels and a growing pool of on-demand shows inside the console's Media section. Sony Pictures Television runs the offering, drawing content from partners such as Amazon MGM Studios, Crunchyroll, FOX, NBCUniversal, the NFL Channel, and UFC, according to the announcement.
To start watching, players open the Media tab on the PS5 home screen, select the Live TV on PS5 icon, and sign in with their PlayStation account. The service began rolling out at the end of August.

The launch lineup leans on familiar catalog names. On the film side, highlights include MovieSphere by Lionsgate, Sony One Horror Hits, and Cinevault, while the television roster runs to long-lived series such as The Walking Dead, Hell's Kitchen, and Unsolved Mysteries.
Anime viewers get channels from Crunchyroll, including exclusives like Black Clover, and sports coverage draws on FOX Sports, NASCAR, and UFC across football, motorsports, and MMA. News and weather come from NBC News Now and Fox Weather, with creator programming such as Hot Ones, documentaries, podcasts, and an exclusive gaming and esports channel called eCLUTCH filling out the specialty end.
The announcement makes no mention of a PlayStation Plus requirement; a standard PlayStation account sign-in is the only step Sony lists. Channel lineups differ by local market and will change over time. Sony says it will keep adding channels and content, with Canada next on its expansion list ahead of other regions.
