Sony confirmed the three-game roster on Wednesday, with all titles dropping Tuesday, May 5 for subscribers across the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers. April's games (Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream) remain claimable until May 4.

EA Sports FC 26 leads the pack as the former FIFA franchise's latest entry, released last September. PlayStation Plus subscribers get a special Icons Pack add-on alongside the game, which Polygon notes arrives in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

IGN's review scored it 7/10, calling the on-pitch gameplay "the best it's been in a long time" while noting an "overly aggressive Season Pass." The real value lies in the other two picks. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike set during China's late Ming Dynasty, earned an 8/10 from IGN.

Players control pirate Bai Wuchang, who awakens with no memory of her past in a land plagued by the mysterious Feathering Disease that mutates people into monsters. Polygon praised its "layered and deep combat system" but flagged uneven boss difficulty.

Nine Sols, from developer Red Candle Games, rounds out the lineup as a hand-drawn 2D action-platformer available on both PS4 and PS5. The game features Sekiro-inspired deflection-based combat and tasks players with slaying nine powerful rulers of a forsaken realm.

It launched in 2024 to positive reviews.

Premium subscribers get an extra addition later in the month. Time Crisis, the 1995 light-gun arcade classic, joins the Classics Catalog on May 19. The port includes gyro aiming on both PS5 and PS4 (replacing the original's light gun accessory), plus quick saves, a rewind feature, and visual upgrades. Sony announced the port during its February State of Play.

PlayStation Plus Essential runs $9.99 monthly, $24.99 for three months, or $79.99 annually. All three May games remain claimable until early June and stay in subscribers' libraries as long as they maintain an active subscription.
