Qatari businesses gain access to enterprise AI infrastructure through a new partnership between Dell Technologies and telecommunications provider Ooredoo. The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding earlier this week to deliver AI-as-a-Service through Ooredoo's Sovereign AI Cloud platform.

The agreement brings Dell's advanced infrastructure and AI capabilities to organizations in Qatar through a locally governed cloud environment. This approach addresses data sovereignty requirements while providing secure, scalable AI services for businesses across multiple industries.

Travers Nicholas, Managing Director for North Gulf at Dell Technologies, and Hassan Ismail Al-Emadi, Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo Qatar, formalized the partnership. The service will offer organizations access to modern AI tools hosted within Qatar's borders, enabling innovation while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

"This agreement highlights our dedication to delivering exceptional, future-ready digital experiences to our customers," Al-Emadi said in a statement. "With Dell's unparalleled expertise in advanced infrastructure and AI capabilities, Ooredoo will be able to drive innovation that will transform industries."

The Sovereign AI Cloud platform represents a strategic expansion into localized AI services as demand for localized AI solutions grows globally.

By combining Dell's technical infrastructure with Ooredoo's telecommunications network and local market presence, the partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation across Qatar's business market.

Nicholas emphasized the collaboration's focus on practical outcomes. "This collaboration with Ooredoo combines our advanced AI and infrastructure solutions with their forward-thinking approach to telecommunications. Together, we aim to deliver cutting-edge solutions that drive measurable outcomes."

The service is designed to help organizations improve operational efficiency through scalable AI capabilities without requiring substantial upfront investment in hardware or specialized expertise.

Companies can access the technology through Ooredoo's cloud platform rather than building their own AI infrastructure.

Qatar has been actively developing its technology sector as part of broader economic diversification efforts. The Dell-Ooredoo partnership matches national initiatives to enhance digital capabilities across industries including finance, healthcare, energy, and logistics.
