Leaked screen protectors for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max reveal Apple is preparing its biggest front-facing redesign in years, pushing the larger model past the 7-inch display mark for the first time. The protectors, shared by tipster Majin Bu on X, show taller and slightly narrower panels compared to the current iPhone 17 generation. The iPhone 18 Pro could grow to roughly 6.4 inches (up from 6.3), while the Pro Max stretches close to 7 inches (up from 6.9).

Apple is keeping the same width, meaning larger screens without making phones harder to grip one-handed. The Dynamic Island is also getting its most update since debuting on the iPhone 14 Pro. The pill-shaped cutout could shrink by 25% to 35% in width, freeing up screen real estate for video playback, gaming, and multitasking.

Screen protector images show a smaller, slightly off-center opening for the selfie camera, suggesting Apple may move some Face ID components under the display. The taller aspect ratio is a notable departure from Apple's recent design language. Several Android brands already use taller screens to balance large diagonals with ergonomics, and Apple appears to be taking the same approach rather than widening the chassis.

Beyond the display, leaks point to other upgrades expected at the September launch. The iPhone 18 Pro lineup will reportedly run on Apple's A20 Pro chipset, bringing improvements to on-device AI and an upgraded Siri.

Camera hardware could see a jump to a 48-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture, alongside a 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP 4x telephoto. Battery capacity is rumored to land between 5,100mAh and 5,200mAh. A new "Dark Cherry" finish is expected to join Silver, Light Blue, and Dark Gray options, offering a wine-inspired alternative to recent neutral color palettes. Apple is also said to be working on redesigned camera ring accents that blend with the new finishes. Of course, accessory-based leaks are not final. Dimensions can shift before mass production ramps. But with the September window now roughly three months out, the picture of Apple's 2026 flagship lineup is coming into focus.
