The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold has failed JerryRigEverything's popular bend test, cracking along both antenna lines next to the hinge and losing its outer display entirely during the stress test. The result makes it the fourth consecutive Google foldable to fail at that same structural weak point, following the original Pixel Fold, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The failure comes despite Google's launch claim that it had re-engineered the Pixel 11 Pro Fold to be three times stronger. The company also said its hinge withstands millions of opening and closing cycles in laboratory testing, but the YouTuber's real-world stress test tells a different story.
The phone's outer display popped off completely during the bend test, with the glass detaching from the device without tools or wires, while the battery also didn't come out looking too great either.
The same antenna-line area remains the phone's weakest point, and battery placement is also not ideal, according to the durability test. Last year, the Pixel 10 Pro XL literally exploded during the same test, with Android Authority noting that Google still hasn't improved the Pixel 11 Pro's weakest structural point despite the redesign.
JerryRigEverything's methodology differs from Google's controlled testing, but the result raises questions about how the phone handles extreme structural stress in everyday situations. All Google foldables have faced the same fate during the bend test, making the Pixel 11 Pro Fold's failure the latest in a consistent pattern across the company's foldable lineup.
