Google has made interoperability between Google Meet and Microsoft Teams generally available on Android (AOSP) meeting room hardware, allowing users to join meetings hosted by the other service. People using Google Meet hardware can join Microsoft Teams meetings, while Android (AOSP) Microsoft Teams Rooms devices can connect to Google Meet meetings.
The rollout began October 1, 2026, and Google gives a window of one to three days before the feature becomes visible. Both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains follow that schedule. Eligibility covers every Google Workspace customer whose Google Meet hardware runs Android/AOSP.

The change moves the connection between the two services beyond its previous preview status, while retaining the Android (AOSP) hardware scope. Google directs administrators to Help Center guidance for permitting Meet hardware to connect to outside conferencing services. Users also have Help Center instructions for joining Microsoft Teams meetings through Google Meet hardware.
Google separately introduced occupancy counting for Android-based Logitech Gen 2 room hardware in September, beginning with Logitech Rally Board 65. That feature extends room-use measurement already offered on ChromeOS devices to Android hardware, with support for earlier Gen 1 devices planned for next year through a RoomOS update.
