Frore Systems and Lenovo have unveiled a concept notebook that uses solid-state active cooling to stay thin, light, and silent, on display September 3 at the Lenovo Innovation World '26 event in Berlin. The Lenovo AeroBlade concept notebook features the Lenovo Active Flow thermal solution powered by AirJet Mini, a chip that replaces traditional fans with high-velocity pulsating air jets to eject heat from compact enclosures.
The AirJet Mini dissipates 7.5 watts of heat, a 50 percent increase over the earlier AirJet Mini G1, and generates back pressure of 2,000 Pa, which Frore says is about 10 times higher than a fan, enabling dustproof and water-resistant designs. It measures 27mm by 41.5mm by 2.65mm and operates at 21 dBA in a system, allowing silent operation. The chip has no moving mechanical parts, according to the announcement.

"AirJet Mini removes thermal barriers that have traditionally limited ultra-compact systems, allowing consumer products like super slim and light notebooks, tablets, and wearables to achieve higher sustained performance and operate in silence."
The concept is aimed at the shift from simple AI inference toward reasoning models and agentic services, which Frore says place greater thermal demands on edge devices because workloads become sustained and compute intensive. The company frames the AirJet Mini as supporting processors in sustaining higher performance without throttling, aligning with what it calls Frore's Law, a vision to double thermal performance every two years.
No pricing, release date, or production plans for the AeroBlade concept were disclosed in the announcement. Frore Systems, based in Silicon Valley with manufacturing in Taiwan, also makes LiquidJet liquid cooling for data centers and says its AirJet technology is integrated into products from major OEMs.
